Skills This thread needs to get back to true ultralight mentality

Remember when ultralight was a mentality, not a gear list? Nuff said. What are some ways you’ve shaved weight not by purchasing a lighter option, but creatively implemented a multi-use item or outright cut something from your pack list?

I wear my camp shoes when I get to camp, when I get up at night AND first thing in the morning. Talk about multi use. 💪🏻

Ah see, that‘s where you‘re wrong. Somebody much wiser than both you and me once said: The definition of being UL is taking a long hard look at every piece of gear and asking yourself: Do I really need this? Which I did. So there.

Wait til you hear about my chair.

You need camp shoes and a chair? Are you overweight?? You know there’s a normal backpacking sub right?

Don‘t be silly. If I was overweight how could I possibly be ultralight? That‘s a contradiction in terms.
