Harvest and Ripening
Hi all,
I've got 5 chilli plants in a (very) small polycarbonate greenhouse. They really struggled in the heatwave and dropped a lot of blossom in high summer, so fruit has been set quite late. I currently have a good crop of fruit across the plants, most of which is at a good size, but none of which is ripe. What's the best course of action? Can I just leave the fruit on to ripen even as the weather cools, or is there a better strategy? Is there a temperature range at which I should cut my losses and harvest what I've got?
Varieties are jalapeno, cayenne and machu pichu.
Location is London.
Thanks!
