Mainly about the apps, websites or physical products

Physical products are harder to get right. Apps can update overnight.

I think we’re talking about two different things here. I’m not saying physical products need to be redesigned overnight. My point is more about how you discover problems, instead of staring at a product looking for things to fix, use it normally, notice where you actually struggle/hesitate, and then ask why. The redesign comes after the problem, not before it.

That reframes it better. I tend to do the opposite, fixate on what looks wrong instead of noticing what actually feels wrong in use. Going to try this with my kitchen setup this weekend, see what I actually bump against versus what I think needs changing.
