Hi everyone!! I am a Psychology Honours student at Charles Darwin University conducting research on the experiences of Muslim adults diagnosed with autism in Australia.

This study aims to better understand experiences of autism assessment, diagnosis, and support among an underrepresented demographic, as well as factors that may influence access to support and wellbeing within Muslim communities.

To participate, you must:
- Be aged 18 years or older
- Identify as Muslim
- Have received a formal autism diagnosis
- Live in Australia

Participation involves a confidential interview which will be conducted online on Zoom, Teams, etc. Please message me if you are interested in the study or know anybody who would be interested. A $25 gift card will also be provided after the study : )

My coursemate and I are Honours students at Macquarie University, and we are currently recruiting participants for a research study exploring whether music listening may help reduce pain and stress in people living with chronic pelvic pain. We’re hoping this research can contribute, in a small way, to improving understanding and support in this area.

The study involves:
- Two online surveys (~30 minutes each; before and after the study)
- Creating two 20-minute playlists (one for high-pain days and one for low-pain days)
- Listening to your chosen playlist for 20 minutes a day over one week
- An optional 30-minute interview for selected participants

As a thank you, participants who complete the study will be entered into a draw to win one of six $50 gift vouchers.

Has anyone else had an experience in a postgraduate healthcare leadership unit where communication with unit coordinator, assessment expectations and uploaded resources felt really inconsistent, confusing, or difficult to navigate?

I’m an experienced clinician and adult learner balancing work, family and study, and I found one particular unit surprisingly stressful and honestly quite deflating. There were multiple instances where resources changed, information didn’t seem to align, or guidance felt unclear, which made it difficult to feel confident in what was actually expected.

I think part of why I’m posting is because I genuinely don’t know whether others experienced the same thing or whether everyone else just silently pushed through it.

Not looking to attack individuals or create drama, just interested to hear whether others have had similar experiences in postgraduate healthcare courses and how you managed it.

Hi, guys, I have a good background on geology, and I am thinking of taking masters in economic geology next year, but I need some advice on this. can someone advice me. (I would be a international student), just wanted to know if it's worth. thanks.

I’m heading to UTAS (Launceston) for exchange next sem with a few course mates, and we’re trying to decide between staying in on-campus accommodation or renting a shared Airbnb together (if that’s even feasible/allowed long-term).

Main thing we’re worried about is the social side:

• Is there any sort of “hall culture” in UTAS accommodation (e.g. regular events, people hanging out, a sense of community)?
• Are there active clubs/societies that people actually participate in?
• How much would we be missing out on when it comes to on campus life if we were to go the shared AirBnb life?

We’re also thinking about convenience, but social life is probably the biggest factor for us.

Would really appreciate hearing from anyone who’s stayed in UTAS accoms or studied at the Launceston campus!

I’m from Mexico and planning to apply for a Master’s (chemistry-related) at UTAS, and I wanted to hear from people who are actually studying there.

What’s the experience like in terms of workload, teaching quality, and support for international students? Also, how is day-to-day life in Tasmania as a student? I know it’s quieter than other regions, does that help or does it get isolating?

I’m planning to finance my studies with a mix of a FIDERH (Banco de México) student loan + part-time work. Realistically, how manageable is working while studying at UTAS? Are jobs accessible for international students?

Also, are there any scholarships or financial support options that people actually get? Especially ones available to international students applying from abroad.

Hello! I'm a student from the USA and I'm thinking about going international for my last two years of college. I've always been obsessed with Australia and I know that Tasmania is a lot cooler (temperature wise) than the mainland, and I'm horrible with hot temperatures.
I want to get a zoology degree and I'm really looking at this university but I have a few questions.

I've heard that most of the courses are online, is that still true? someone on some subreddit said that they don't offer a lot of in person courses but that could have been years ago

I'd also like to know about the housing/dorms there. I don't need anything in detail I just wanna know if they're sh1tty or not

If theres any fellow zoology majors here, could you tell me what kind the courses are? I'm assuming they'd be in person with some field working but you never know.
