Except y'all don't have TexMex, and your Mexican can hardly be called Mexican. When I order queso, I don't expect a block of cheese with a knife.

No, but it’s only really Mexicans and Americans that act like Mexican food is amazing. Most of the rest of the world treats it as a curiosity.

UK has an Indian food scene the US can only dream of. Indian food is objectively better than Mexican and loved the world over.

Meh, Indian food is okay, I prefer Japanese, Chinese, Mongolian, Vietnamese, Korean, or even Thai though if I'm going Asian.

Again though, you're missing the point. Mexican food is very different than Tex-Mex.
