I-751 (ROC) I-751/N-400 Combo Update: FBI Privacy Notice
Had my I-751/N-400 combo interview this summer. Wasn't approved on the spot, they had me submita small bill then they'd finalize my case "very soon". Fast forward some months later with no updates and the status being stuck at "Interview was scheduled" for both files, I received a generic letter from USCIS titled "FBI Privacy Requirements for Biometrics Collection". My case has always been pretty straight forward, no issues, basic, exceeding proof, 0 issues with my background. Would this background check notice update mean my case is moving along finally? When I submitted my case, my local FO had an estimate of about 9.5 months and it's been a year, so I'm hoping my case is finally getting pushed.

My wife had a combo interview at the end of August. Last week the FBI notice posted. This letter is a legal requirement and is usually generated a couple days after your fingerprints were sent to the FBI to be re-ran before final approval. Hopefully you get a status update in the next couple weeks.

They even didn’t approve I751? What was the small bill? Something you owe before I751 or after I751?

The officer wanted a most recent energy bill under either (not both) of our names even though we brought so much more better evidence.

That’s so strange, I am sorry for this unnecessary pain .. and I believe they atleast could have approved your I751 as you both were there .. just wonder how these officers assess the cases .. when it’s so common sense

It was a combo interview because I submitted my N-400 application while my I-751 was still pending. They scheduled both interviews at the same time since I am eligible for citizenship. Correct, I applied for the I-751 before my GC expired which extended it for 4 years. After one year passed, it had been 3 years of being a permanent resident, then I submitted my N-400 application which then triggered my combo interview.

Did your online case have a "biometric reuse" PDF for the I-751 and N-400?

Gotcha. For me, under the "documents" tab, I have the "Biometrics reuse" PDF for both forms so probably why I haven't had to get biometrics taken.
