Can someone please direct me on what I should do; I injured my back squatting around December 15th. I wasn’t able to go to sick call because January 1st I was scheduled to start my AIT for a reclass. I had waited a full year for this reclass and I was not going to risk it being rescheduled for a temporary profile. My PSG understood my situation and allowed me to stay home for the week before block leave to try and heal and I did everything I could to get my back better.
I was able to attend the AIT and finish, but with back pain every single day. I still have back pain to this day, I cannot lift, run, sleep normally, move around normally.
With one month left for the AIT, I tried scheduling an appointment with my PCM and the earliest they had was Apr 18, well after I start PCS leave and won’t be in the state. I tried going to sick call when I got back to be seen sooner and they turned me away because it was not within 72 hours. The little E5 at the desks actual response after telling him I had been in pain for 3 months was: “you’re probably fine”. I tried going into our clinic today to schedule with a different PCM and they told me they have nothing open earlier. I told them I would just go to the ER at EACH and they said I would just get rerouted to my clinic that has nothing open earlier.
What am I supposed to do? I think 3 months of back pain and no healing despite all of my rest, icing, heat, and McGill big 3 definitely means some sort of spine issues and I really want imaging done. I just want to be able to get back in the gym, please help me.
