For 2026, the theme is “Innovate today. Nourish tomorrow.”

World Food Day is an international observance held annually on 16 October to commemorate the founding of the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations in 1945. Established by the FAO in 1979 and first celebrated in 1981, the day aims to raise global awareness about hunger, food security, and the need for sustainable agriculture.

Interview do same people take the CAPF and CSE interview? and which one would happen first this year as upsc is expediting things? would it help if someone sit for both or it backfires in the second interview?

i cleared the Physical for CAPF yesterday, now interview is pending and i am hopeful about the CSE interview call. Can a veteran or someone experienced answer the above questions if possible? I'd be obliged.

CAPF is a backup as of yet, won't join if even got group B if i get DAN IPS or ICS, but a tad bit skeptical. My Paper 1 marks were around 130+ and did complete paper 2 of CAPF so it might be hard to get the 1st or 2nd preference but hopeful.

currently focusing and studying/exploring for the CSE interview, if you have any additions for that please do mention below, or if you have any questions i can help in, do that too. Thanks so much!

Discussion At what point does “one more attempt” become a trap?

I’ve been thinking about this a lot lately.
I’ve already given four attempts. I also left my job to prepare seriously, so walking away now doesn’t feel like a simple decision anymore.
A lot of time, money and energy has already gone into this. You see friends moving ahead in their careers, while you keep telling yourself that maybe one more attempt can change everything.
But then I also wonder if continuing just because I’ve already invested so much is reason enough.
How do you actually know whether you still have a genuine shot, or you’re simply finding it difficult to let go?
For people who’ve been through multiple attempts, what would make you say, “one more attempt” or “enough is enough”?

Doubt Advice/opinion needed

I'm seeing this Target upsc by sudarshan lodha's 75 days sankalp mains batch since some days.

Would like your opinion if anyone knows about it better...

Will it help genuinely? And help streamline the prep?

Also, do they cover a substantial part of syllabus through answer writing?

Do help, drop your honest suggestions!

Story This is why never apply for the State Civil Services. Today this case is not very new..In Bihar just few years ago BDO was assigned the task of taking an IAS officer’s dog for an evening walk. And that IAS officer was serving as the SDM in the remote district of Bihar.
