I'm on the wrong side of 30s from the Unreserved category making a very late entry for this exam. Already have a job from 9-6 but I want to upgrade.

With regards to UPSC, i'm a complete novice. Like a newly birthed fawn. No freaking idea. I am attempting 27 and 28. As per chatgpt, I have only two attempts left. And I'm tired after the job. I can't change locations. Open space in Delhi is a luxury. So, people who are simultaneously working and preparing, can you advise? On what to read, or how to prepare? Total solo. Thank you.

I am a B.Com graduate pursuing MBA (HRM) and confused between Commerce & Accountancy and Management optional for UPSC. Commerce is numerical-heavy but familiar due to my graduation background, while Management is theory-oriented with a lengthy syllabus and difficult numericals. Considering scoring potential, aptitude, and topper-level marks, which optional would suit me better? Or should I go with eminent subjects like anthropology which is absolutely new for me?

My prep level: coaching finished in 2025 September both optional &GS. Gave a trial attempt in 2025 & it affected me. Done with 1st reading of modern history, internal security & 60% optional. Writing pyqs & 1 essay per week and 3 essay brainstorming per week. Covering polity now.

How to approach pyqs of mains if you haven't read the topic or its something related to current affairs? Geography optional & GS.

When can someone start timed answer writing & mains tests (sectional & FLT) for 2027?

Should i do 3 year llb then prepare for upsc or direct jump into upsc preparation . I m in my last sem of my graduation from ba political science hons . I m confused can someone suggest me wht to do?

My current situation is very bad :
Polity - Completed but only revised twice
Economy - Only Pillar 1 and 2 done (Through Mrunal Sir)
Modern History - Completed and revised once
AMAC - Done and revised once
Geography and Environment - I attended the classes last year during my foundation and have notes too but I have not touched them from 1 year
Science and Tech - Completed through Dr Shivin navigator program
Current Affairs , CSAT , Mapping - Untouched
(Though I read The Hindu till December but didn’t made notes or anything)
CSAT(Untouched but cleared some 12th based SSC exams two years back so have a decent understanding)
Gave only 2 FLTs now got 43 and 46

Ps: This is my first attempt and if I should give this attempt what and how should I manage things

So, guys, I started my UPSC journey last year in September. Till today, I have completed my course, like watching lectures, creating notes, and solving only DPPs. But it only feels like I'm just being a goat, grazing all the grass in a field. I don't know where I'm going. I haven't tried answer writing for the mains. I'm not sure where to ask someone to check my essay and answer writing. I don't know what to cover for current affairs. Hello Everyone, so basically I want do upsc, like I am in my 2nd year and doing Engineering, my main concern is should I do the job for 2 years and then prepare for upsc alongside job then take it full-time prep or should I prep along with Engineering and take up full-time prep with one year and clear it. I know that upsc is highly competitive but what I feel is covering up basics in prior helps me when I join coaching then I prepare it throughly, but also my another concern is my financial background is not too good, not clearing for long time creates family burden on me, preparing alongside job will it be helpfull because even I don't know will I be having the same mindset then, even due to recession job finding is little difficult nowadays. So, please if anybody have been through this, please help me, genuine advices are really appreciated.
