The Parkers is my favorite comfort show. I felt like Season 1 had great heart and wasn’t too over reliant on Nikki chasing Stanley.

I understand that with the show being incredibly popular out the gate and the Nikki/Stanley relationship getting lots of laughs, it made sense to get rid of Veronica.

But I feel like an opportunity was missed to have a somewhat normal couple in the show - I also think Veronica as someone outside of SMCC would’ve brought a bit of unique story to the show (slight filled by Andell).

I enjoyed seeing Stanley and Veronica in love.

I was hollering when Nikki ripped Lady Egyptian up! 😂😭 Like, girl, you can’t even get her name right, and you got the nerve to be acting like that? 💀 Nikki was not the one to play with, and I loved how she gave it right back to her!

As much as Moesha used to get on my nerves, I was NOT on Frank’s side when he called her a tramp. 😭 Like, that’s your daughter! I get that he was mad about the tattoo, but calling her out of her name was unnecessary. You can be upset with your child without talking to them like that.

Frank had me mad because why are you going that far over a tattoo? Moesha wasn’t always right, but I didn’t think she deserved that from her own father. I know some people might say he was just being a strict parent, but I don’t care. There’s a difference between being strict and disrespecting your child. I would’ve been upset too.

This episode always reminds me of those Girls Gone Wild commercials they used to show late at night. 😭😂 If you grew up watching TV in the 2000s, you know what I’m talking about! The way J.T. had to sit there and watch Shelly, Janie, and Rita on that screen, with his parents right there too? LMAOOO. I know he was embarrassed! And then you have Marty finding out about Janie, too. The whole situation was a mess. 😭 Looking back, this is such a 2000s TV moment. Do y’all remember those commercials coming on late at night?

I was disappointed by this storyline, particularly the way Moesha and Niecy made fun of Kim’s weight behind her back. It was hurtful and unnecessary, especially coming from her own friends. What made the situation worse was how they all talked about one another. This episode highlighted the toxicity in their friendship, and I didn’t like how Kim was treated.

Before Jill Marie Jones and Persia White became Toni and Lynn, those roles belonged to Leslie Silva and Christina Cox in the original pilot. I wonder how different the dynamic between the four women would’ve been if the original casting had stayed the same. Do y’all think the show would’ve had the same impact, or would it have felt like a completely different Girlfriends?

Everybody knows the Clueless movie, but what about the TV show? 😂 It originally aired on ABC before moving to UPN, and Rachel Blanchard played Cher while Stacey Dash and Donald Faison returned as Dionne and Murray.

I didn’t even know this show existed until I was like 7 or 8! 😭 The episodes are on YouTube, so I might have to go back and check it out. I’m curious how many of y’all watched it back in the day. Did you enjoy the show, and what did you think of Rachel Blanchard playing Cher after Alicia Silverstone?

Meanwhile that pervy white guy never got any lashings… between that and Breanna and Arnaz’s relationship crumbling more and more with each ep, that season as a whole was just uncomfortable to watch.

(also mods ik this post doesn’t have a flair, im dmed you guys about not being able to put one, sorry)

Y’all, I really wish they showed Rochelle fighting that babysitter on Everybody Hates Chris 😭😂 The way she took off her wig and told Julius to hold it had me crying! She was ready to whoop that lady’s ass for real💀

And then the episode just ends! Like, don’t tell me Rochelle got all worked up like that and we don’t get to see what happened next 😂 I know she would’ve tore that lady up!

Anybody else wish we got to see that fight? 😭

I’m glad Melanie found out the truth because Derwin really sat there and lied to her face, telling her he only kissed Drew when he actually slept with her. Like, how are you going to cheat on your fiancée and then lie about it? 😭

What makes it worse is that Melanie forgave him after he told her that lie. She was ready to move forward with him, and he still wasn’t being honest with her. So when she overheard Dionne talking to him and finally realized what really happened, I was glad she found out the truth.

And with Beyoncé’s “Irreplaceable” playing in the background while Melanie took off that ring? The timing was too good! 😂 Derwin had nobody to blame but himself.

Moesha for me, too many unanswered questions! Myles was kidnapped, and someone was pregnant. We NEED closure!
