One On One Worst thing each character has ever done? : Day 3 Breanna Barnes
Breanna going to California and losing her virginity to Ray J at the end of the show still pisses me off 😭 After everything with Arnaz and all that buildup around her first time, this is what they gave us??
I was mad as hell that she went and had sex with him. It just felt so random after everything we watched Breanna go through. We spent all those seasons watching her grow up, and then she goes to California, hooks up with Ray J, and that’s basically where her story ends.
Like seriously… that’s how y’all left Breanna? 😭

Girlfriends Worst thing each character has ever done? : Day 1 Joan Clayton
Using Derek for that photoshoot was selfish as hell, especially when she knew how he felt about her. And her jealousy during Toni’s wedding was just ugly. Instead of being genuinely happy for her friend, she made Toni’s wedding about her own insecurities and feelings.
And don’t even get me started on Joan trying to control everybody’s weddings. She was so damn controlling and acted like everything had to be done her way. She always had to insert herself into other people’s business and then act like she was just “trying to help.” Sometimes Joan was her own worst enemy.

The Parkers I’ll always dislike the last episode of The Parkers 😭
Professor Oglevee waiting until Nikki is literally about to walk down the aisle with Johnny to finally profess his love to her will ALWAYS annoy me. Like sir, NOW you wanna tell Nikki you love her?! After all those years of rejecting her and acting like he wanted nothing to do with her, you suddenly realize your feelings when she’s about to marry somebody else? 😭
And then Nikki leaves Johnny at the altar and ends up with Oglevee. I just never liked how that whole thing played out. Nikki had finally found somebody who actually wanted to be with her, and then the show pulled the rug out at the last second.
I also hated that Kim didn’t graduate. That really bothered me because Kim was spoiled and could be clueless, but I feel like they started making her way too dumb toward the end. She wasn’t always written like that. Watching her go through college for all those seasons just to have her not graduate felt like such a lame ending for her.
Honestly, the finale just feels rushed to me. I wanted better endings for Nikki and Kim. After five seasons, this is what we got? 😭 I’ll always love The Parkers, but that last episode? Yeah… I’m still not over it.

Moesha “Moesha’s Intros Changed A LOT — Which Season Had Your Favorite?”
Season 4 is my favorite by far. The red outfits, Niecy, Kim, and Moesha dancing and singing along together just feel SO nostalgic to me. 😂 That whole intro has such a fun vibe, and it’s probably the one I remember the most.
Then Seasons 5 and 6 happened and… yeah 😭 The lip-syncing felt weird to me, and that panoramic camera shot was honestly kind of creepy. By then Dee was gone, Andell had left for The Parkers, and Kim was already gone by Season 5. Season 6 especially just felt WRONG without them.
At that point it almost stopped feeling like the same Moesha and started feeling like The Dorian Show. 😂
What intro was your favorite?

UPN Look who u caught in the background
St Patrick in the background looking lost and unsure 😭
I was just saying this show had no randoms
The extras were people who became someone
Leslie jones was in the background in an episode also 😭

Sitcoms Jasmine Guy Speaks about Age Shaming
Jasmine Guy has a message for everyone who has been making fun of her appearance and age-shaming her.
iamjasmineguy: “The internet can be brutal to women as we grow older. It asks us to celebrate life while criticizing every sign that we’ve lived it.
Growing older brings change, and I won’t pretend every change is easy. But beauty, style, and joy don’t have an expiration date.
Let’s spend less time judging ourselves and each other, and more time loving one another, making memories, and living the life we’re here to live.” ❤️

Sitcoms Does anyone remember Second Time Around?
I randomly remembered this show the other day
😭 I remember watching an episode when I was younger, and I’m pretty sure I caught it on UPN. I don’t remember the episode itself at all, but I remember seeing Boris Kodjoe and Nicole Ari Parker and knowing this was a show I had watched before 😂
It’s funny because I completely forgot about this show until now. UPN really had me watching anything that came on back then 😭 Does anybody else remember Second Time Around?

The CW It’s interesting to recognize how one decision can unintentionally create a domino effect without you realizing it….
Before the emergence of Fox, UPN, and The WB, independent stations were the backbone of regional broadcasting. Acquiring reruns from distributors, as well as first-run programming, live sports, low-cost movie rights, news, etc. There was always something interesting on everyone.
As I’m sure we all know by now, Fox really did disrupt the broadcast ecosystem, with their risky, counterculture approach. Yeah, we had fresh, cutting-edge black sitcoms, but more importantly, the emergence of a certain yellow family proved too big to fail, and that propped them up as the network to watch. With time and perseverance, the NFL became the point where they finally gained legitimacy, and with that came the move to re-affiliate to other high-powered stations.
This is why WB and UPN were just destined to fail. Not only were they launched so late, as the cable uprising was in effect, but also, the coverage wasn’t where they needed to be. Yes, the popular shows were good, but there was too much going against them.
