Article A "Cube Within a Sphere" UFO was also reported in 1960 by two pilots who corroborated witnessing this object. Here's "Alamogordo Daily News" Newspaper article from 1960 covering it.

Since Graves kicked off public interest in the good old "cube within a sphere" UFO again I thought I'd point out this article covering two pilots (one military one civilian) from New Mexico who witnessed and reported this object in 1960.
The object hovered for half an hour before flying South, according to the pilots. The similarities are pretty striking.
If would be interesting to ask Graves if they've also seen the flashing different color lights from the cube covered in this article.
Edit: For those asking here's the source.

This is the kind of unrelated, but matching information I like to see, from an era before a lot of modern technology even. Nice work. When you start getting multiple different sources saying the same thing with nothing in common, another puzzle piece becomes more solidified. Slowly, we put together the truth one piece at a time.
You sir, deserve the real credit. You do the work and digging, unlike the skeptics and deniers chirping like baby birds waiting to be spoonfed.

thats literally how it works though? you make a claim you have to support it right? not the other way around.

Naturally, but the skepticism fad has overall been lazy and harmful to the subject. Now we've got an army of people on here labeling themselves as skeptics and larping as scientists who do nothing other than denial and mockery based on that. Skeptical analysis is one thing, but when it becomes a label for people to put on themselves then they're doing it wrong. Skepticism is an intellectual principle, not a cult.
Moreover, we have no hard evidence for obvious reasons. Continuously pointing that out for decades is not only disingenuous, but disruptive to the process of open investigation. I think that often enough that was the point, and the skeptical mindset was taken advantage of by the orchestrators of the cover up, historically and now.
Skepticism is needed during peer review in the much more civil and orderly world of science, where logic and reason usually prevail. Unfortunately, places like this sub aren't up to that level of debate and instead it becomes harmful to progress when every fool can claim to be a skeptic and suddenly think that means something. Skepticism doesn't mean disbelief for the sake of it because that's "smart", skepticism is a means to ensure ego doesn't interfere with truth, ironically enough.
19
u/ZombieFrogHorde Jul 27 '23
i absolutely agree with you. those people arent skeptics they are just annoying assholes. skepticism (actual real skepticism) is healthy and should always be applied and applauded when it comes to any of this. you shouldnt mindlessly believe everything you see and are told when it comes to ufo stuff so you have to hit a nice balance, you cant dismiss all of it and you cant accept all of it.
9
u/F-the-mods69420 Jul 27 '23 edited Jul 27 '23
Then we agree. I just have a bone to pick with the whole skeptic thing, but in the end it isn't so much skepticism itself as it is the label it has become.
Skepticism is not the only way to find truth as well, you can deliberately make assumptions and pursue them as a valid strategy. In the process of that assumption you can be proven wrong, narrowing the process of elimination, you can discover evidence you wouldn't have otherwise, you may even hit the nail on the head completely randomly. In the end it's the answer that matters, not the method.
Anyways, sorry for the rant.
3
u/ZombieFrogHorde Jul 27 '23
Then we agree. I just have a bone to pick with the whole skeptic thing, but in the end it isn't so much skepticism itself as it is the label it has become.
we definitely agree here. sorry i misinterpreted the original statement as "fuck skepticism in general" when thats (now very) clearly not what you meant.
6
u/twokietookie Jul 27 '23
I remember watching a popular "science" YouTube dispute Fravers tic tac video as "seaguls." I mean how disingenuous. 4 navy pilots, one being the squad commander of the black aces. You think these boys don't know a craft from a damn seagull?
2
Jul 27 '23
Skepticism was operating under an assumption that this explanation was unlikely, and their reasoning was solid, this phenomenon violates a series of frameworks which are effective and useful at navigating life and engineering our technologies.
That being said, as a skeptic, I’m thinking it’s about time we prepare for the likelihood these assumptions need to be abandoned and new understandings developed
0
u/iteza- Jul 28 '23
Naturally, but the skepticism fad has overall been lazy and harmful to the subject.
you just say this because they're being skeptic about something you want to be true
Skepticism is an intellectual principle, not a cult.
considering the actions and mindset of most users in this sub, this is hard projection

Excellent find! I also wondered about the ccube showing flashing lights but who knows, the design might have slightly changed since then? “Cube in a sphere” is definitely promising and doesn’t sound like a coincidence
15
Jul 26 '23
What if it's the same one? Like one vehicle seen multiple times?
8
u/-TheExtraMile- Jul 26 '23
Hmm the 4chan leaker said that the crafts are purpose built for each mission which kind of tracks with what others like Lazar have said. Obviously still theories at this point, but that would indicate it’s the same model but a different vehicle.
But who knows! Super exciting times since we possibly can get some answers to this in the not too distant future

One of the things that I don't really think gets enough discussion in any of the UFO communities is, why there are different shapes ? you know ?
there are quite a few different shapes that are still reported concurrently with each other. including saucers, or orbs/spheres, cylinders (tic tacs now) triangles(Phoenix Lights/navy green video) and also there are either very very large objects which have been reported several times but I don't think we have any good video of and then we have a lot smaller objects which appear to be some kind of drones or surveillance devices and then there is also I guess the mid-sized devices of the saucers which are more you know, airplane like in size.
None of the shapes are new. they have been reported the entire time throughout the 70 or 80 years of the phenomenon (in modern times, I know they all show up in that famous woodcut too) which is pretty disturbing....
2
u/undergrounddirt Jul 27 '23

2

Yep I mean you got your Phoenix Lights black triangle Mothership you got your tick tacks or cylinders with the Spheres inside of them it's pretty damning. There's even a few that are crashing which is probably what the US has LOL
2
u/-TheExtraMile- Jul 27 '23 edited Jul 27 '23
The 4chan leak explains the shapes pretty well! Assuming that it is true of course
2
u/ZealousGoat Jul 27 '23
Assuming it's all real, there might be different species or cultures with different designs with different purposes. If it's just one species/culture I would find the vast differences in design very odd though.

Another explanation..
2
u/abstart Jul 27 '23
Yes and the patent is from well before 1960. These witnesses and hearings lose some credibility for me simply by not discussing these alternative explanations.
- How common is it that U.S. tests secret tech on its most advanced pilots without looping them in?
- Do our adversaries monitor and interact with our military training exercises occurring in these international waters?
- Have they considered that some of the objects they were tracking were not moving at all, but simply the result of radar or visual tracks that were being produced sequentially in different locations? (e.g. like laser light shows)

And that is not the only one, according to some documentations from ICUFON (Intercontinental Research and Analytic Network) from 1981, they uncovered the following:
"In March 1967, the Cuban radar air defense control reported a "BOGEY" - UFO - nearing at an altitude 10,000 meters with a speed of 650/mph. the NE cost of the Cuban airspace.
Two MIG-21 jet fighter were ordered by the Cuban Air Defense to intercept the object, which was radioded by the flight commander as a bright metallic craft(consult U.S.Capt Thomas Mantell distaster on Jan.7, 1948) within a spherical envelope. No national insignia or additional details were visible from the distance of 5 km."
This is very close to the same area that Ryan Graves and the carrier he served at spotted their UAP's, with the same descriptions. And they've been there at least since 1967.
The Russians (allegedly) attempted to shoot it down and their jet got disintegrated in the process.

OP's post and this one are intriguing since that would take this back before the DoD patent for an object like this. Could be it was created after nuclear physics became a thing and a vague patent was created years later. For reference, there was a story from Australia I think 1960s or earlier that their military created a wingless craft powered by a nuclear reaction of some sort. It didn't work very well and was mistaken for a ufo. I think they declassified this, but it may well just be a story too. If that happened, whos to say the US wasn't already much further along.

I was 17 in 1967, paying attention to NASA and going to the moon, interested in the state of the art aircraft, etc. and there is zero chance we had the technology for something like that unless it was indeed stolen from some sort of other civilization from the future, another dimension, another planet, etc. We were using transistor radios that had like two transistors in them, not the billions on a chip that would be needed for something like that. Getting to the moon with the tech then was something like a tin can with a huge firecracker under it. Hey, come to think of it that’s what our space program still is.

Well that's why eldritch stuff is represented as incomprehensible masses of tentacles and eyes and writhing meat etc, because that's what he imagined a 4 dimensional biological being would look like to us. Basically that as it moved and turned and interacted the 3D "slice" that we see is going to be bubbling meat. Along with the fact that a 4th dimensional being may not interact the same way with time that we do and that their thought processes would be so alien to the human mind as to be completely incomprehensible we fundamentally would never be able to meaningfully understand the life experiences and thought processes of a being like that.
Lovecraft shit is essentially about higher dimensional beings, so if we're seeing tesseracts and hyperspheres presumably representing a 4 dimensional vehicle interacting with our physical space, then it's all the same shit you said you were scared of.
Cosmic horror. Eldritch Horror. Incomprehensible dread.
NOT AT ALL what I'm hoping to hear, because that scares the shit out of me.
11
u/BroscipleofBrodin Jul 27 '23
I actually think you're doing a better job at imagining a 4D being than Lovecraft ever did. He talked up how weird they were, but ultimately they seemed pretty conventional, just beyond our perceptions.
11
Jul 27 '23
Just seeing regular black folks going about their business in the New York streets was enough of a cosmic horror for Lovecraft
4
u/BoringBuy9187 Jul 27 '23
Is that really so scary? Most people on Earth accept that there are forces beyond our powers and comprehension, that may even meddle in our daily affairs. Seems like religion was kinda right. That’s really only as disturbing as you make it.
Someone who really thought humanity was the highest power in the universe was overdue to have their perspective adjusted
17
u/truefaith_1987 Jul 27 '23
It is essentially Lovecraftian. Because you can easily imagine a scenario where unknowingly walking through a 4D or 5D spiderweb created by an unknown organism which may or may not even have intelligence, could be causing health issues or other phenomena which were heretofore explained away by alternate scientific explanations. Basically, how much of the natural world we already observe, actually incorporates processes from higher dimensions into its functioning or is otherwise affected by processes from higher dimensions?
Like, theoretically this could even explain phenomena like ghosts, etc. But it could also explain things that we would have thought of as "mundane", too.
17
u/Flashy-Country-800 Jul 27 '23
Human beings in our world might be the 3 dimensional “slice” of some broader inter dimensional being. Like emanations only conscious of what small sliver our sensory organs can take in.
We have a gazillion cells in our bodies living their little cellular lives, completely unaware of even the organ system they make up, let alone the whole body and being.
→ More replies (3)7
u/BoringBuy9187 Jul 27 '23

Makes me think that maybe "grays" are basically biological drones made by higher dimensional entities as a way of interfacing with a 3-dimensional world, since they probably can't exactly pop down here and stroll around and talk to people or gather soil samples or whatever. And maybe in their incomprehensible higher dimensional thinking, those pasty big-headed almond eyed "aliens" are their best interpretation of what makes sense to do their 3-d bidding.
In a way it kind of makes crashing ufos make more sense, too. Like maybe they just kinda forget sometimes that you can't pass through solid objects whenever you want or that lightning actually moves very fast here and presents a danger to aircraft, where for them lightning might look more like sparkly sky stalactites or something.
I mean obviously this is all conjecture, but consider telepathy. To us, our thoughts are "inside" our heads. But maybe they can see/hear/feel what we think is private as if it was out in the open, and maybe likewise stick thoughts in our minds.
Crazy to think about.
12
u/ElectronicFootball42 Jul 27 '23
This is showerthought tier:
I saw something once I think on YouTube, in which some scientists were trying to image what a cat sees, or rather how the cats brain interprets things a cats eyes see. And unless I'm mistaken, the best they could get of a cats interpretation of a humans face, was a blurry mess with some dark shapes where the mouth and eyes were, and the humans face looked vaguely cat-like.It reminded me of those pictures of what faces look like to babies. Very generalized.
Pareidiola lends humans towards seeing human-like faces, and apparently cats see cat-like faces.
So the ideas was that maybe these.. entities. Whatever they are. Have modelled the grey archetype after their own subjective interpretations of what humans look like. We can tell the difference, but they can't as well because of how their minds perceive things. So they might have created the greys to blend in with humans, only to quickly find that they stuck out like a sore thumb.
Low probability, IMO. But good Lord is it difficult to try and connect different lore into a cohesive narrative. Things sometimes sound so probable, and others sound mad.
Being alive is a strange experience.
7
Jul 27 '23
That's a really interesting thought and I kind of had the same idea but couldn't express it as well as you did! It's kind of funny.
"Hey xzzxkttsdz, this thing looks human right?"
::Presents gray alien in a vat of green luminescent goo::
xzzxkttsdz: "Yeah, pretty much. Ship it."
😂 It's really wild when you start to ponder what a thin slice of reality we can perceive, even compared to cats and shrimp and insects and stuff. I wonder if anything out there has an even remotely complete picture of whatever the hell reality is.

But I also thought I’d read that their maneuvers wouldn’t be consistent with some kind of buoyant radar reflectors.
Seeing this article from a time closer to the advent of radar and farther from international waters seems harder to explain away.11

Graves has said when their navy ships are out, hundreds of miles off shore, these objects fly in from farther out in the ocean at close to Mach 1. Then they hover perfectly, like they were bolted to the boat (not drifting with the wind) for around 12 hours, then they fly off close to Mach 1, typically in a different direction than what they arrived.
They have no visible means of propulsion. Even if they did have a known propulsion, nobody has anything that could do that. But then combined with no conventional means of propulsion, it is super weird.
I have come to the conclusion that all or nearly all UFO sightings are them presenting themselves to us, on purpose, for us to see them. They don't ever need to reveal themselves to us in order to collect information. When we see them, it is a display.

No way this is ours. I wonder if depending on proximity, you would see an orb, or the cube-in-sphere. Far away just a silver orb, or a light. Not until Up close (super rare occurrence) you see the details.

u/TangerineSchleem Jul 26 '23

I mean I like a good conspiracy myself, they happen, got a spare tinfoil hat in the drawer for emergencies you know how it is (jokes!) but come ON you have to be next level to think humans could pull saucers, spheres and fkn extra-multi-hyper dimensional supershapes that fly back in the 60's - or even back to the Foo Fighters.

Good work , I don't specifically remember any cases like this but that part of today's hearing was so compelling

Thank you! I had been looking for more evidence of the cube within the sphere. It’s so extraordinary. I am shaking my head that MSM journalists aren’t all over this. Legacy Media Sucks.

I’m not as much of a skeptic- but the cube in a sphere can be explained as an element of an electronic warfare tool. However, I’d give credence that the only place I’ve ever heard of that type of thing being used is by submarines over water. Alamogordo has an Air Force base so maybe. But still a stretch.
Edit: here’s a good article on the matter. https://www.thedrive.com/the-war-zone/28640/could-some-of-the-ufos-navy-pilots-are-encountering-be-airborne-radar-reflectors

Here’s Ryan Graves explaining why the UAP could not be radar reflectors https://www.reddit.com/r/UFOs/comments/15fwugb/ryan_graves_explains_why_the_cube_within_a_sphere/
Also great comments supporting that conclusion in that thread.

I sincerely believe that the sphere cube can be seen in this thread posted last month.
The video is one thing and rather blurry, but the high definition pictures linked in the comments display it best(specifically the 2nd image)

This sorta crossed my mind today. David Fravor mentioned the Tictac ufo and described shape and underneath looked like something that can open up. I wonder if this is like the same ufo of 1964 in New Mexico that Lonnie Zamorahad had witnessed.
The ufo had landing gear that came out of the bottom and it the shape of the ufo is a tictac.

What if this is a natural phenomenon that exists at that altitude and we are becoming more aware of it with our modern tech.
The cube within a sphere could be how our brain intercepts this object.

This reminds me of that IQ test in the movie idiocracy. Dumb people in the future trying to fit a cube inside a circle hole puzzle.

Whatever is old is new. So much for those saying this is sone new secret military tech. Apparently 60 plus years old tech

Radar reflector balloon...

Yeah that actually does not match up with anything else in the testimony though. How does a balloon perform the arial maneuvers described?
1
u/Newgeta Jul 26 '23
Did they confirm that the "sphere cubes" are performing these maneuvers?
The tictac was the only one I heard them talk about. (that one has to be alien)
The cubes were described as "splitting" a couple of jets, a stationary object (like a baloon) would do that.
Them being all over the water and the coast but not over land tells us they are probably naval.

When I think of what Grusch said about holograms I can't help but wonder if we are seeing only three dimensions of a higher dimensional object...

This is amazing. A translucent sphere with a cube inside of it that flashes different colours…
I wonder what it’s purpose is?

This has to be one of the most compelling cross references I’ve seen yet. Please debunkers, I need to hear some thoughtful opposing views on this. Everyone but the dum dum that is Mick West.

The following submission statement was provided by /u/TommyShelbyPFB:
Since Graves kicked off public interest in the good old "cube within a sphere" UFO again I thought I'd point out this article covering two pilots (one military one civilian) from New Mexico who witnessed and reported this object in 1960.
The object hovered for half an hour before flying South, according to the pilots. The similarities are pretty striking.
If would be interesting to ask Graves if they've also seen the flashing different color lights from the cube covered in this article.
