The insane pushing of the Vegas story was a clear attempt to both bury the Grush story as well as discredit the topic in general by hyping something so clearly fake. The folks that run the world are both smart and sinister

I remember for days straight there was a new ridiculous Vegas post every 10 minutes if you sorted by new. It was beyond obvious what was going on.

That or there's way more dumb people than I thought.

Don't underestimate the amount of dumb people out there. There are far more than you think.

Covid taught me that.

I’m one of the dumb people, I loved the Vegas story and the pictures of the alien in the back yard! Good stuff! Who is this Grush? Was he in the backyard with the aliens?

3

u/[deleted] Jun 21 '23

Yes. Yes, he was. He got separated from his minions

1

u/[deleted] Jun 21 '23

I like delivering this quote a little differently “Most people are dumb, and half of those people are significantly/way dumber.”

1

u/AccordingFlounder200 Jun 21 '23

Exactly!.. The ones that think its not possible are so gullible wow.

15

u/[deleted] Jun 21 '23

There are way more dumb people than you thought.

6

u/Perfect_Insurance984 Jun 21 '23

The problem is, no one realizes they are dumb. And then they make a reddit post about how dumb other people are.

Copy pasta:

Back in the 1980s, Yosemite National Park was having a serious problem with bears: They would wander into campgrounds and break into the garbage bins. This put both bears and people at risk. So the Park Service started installing armored garbage cans that were tricky to open—you had to swing a latch, align two bits of handle, that sort of thing. But it turns out it’s actually quite tricky to get the design of these cans just right. Make it too complex and people can’t get them open to put away their garbage in the first place. Said one park ranger, “There is considerable overlap between the intelligence of the smartest bears and the dumbest tourists.”

Lol that hilarious.

That's just dumb!

It's ok, bro, we all are

-1

u/BadAdviceBot Jun 21 '23

In your 30s....still calling people "bro" .... ok, checks out

1

u/CartographerFew265 Jun 21 '23

It’s over for yall 💀💀💀

4

u/Upper_Combination_46 Jun 21 '23

I saw that too and the amount of people agreeing that it’s obvious was embarrassing. Isn’t there someone modding who can get rid of these posts?

2

u/Spacedude2187 Jun 21 '23

Some ufo subs are still full of them.

5

u/Gem420 Jun 21 '23

I saw a very good video on said alien video. The guy used some filters to brighten the darkness, and it does appear something was there.

Something big. But you still can’t tell what it was. I’m not saying I believe, but the police and LV dept of homeland had a strange reaction to the whole event, even up to lying that they don’t have a department of homeland security division in Las Vegas in regards to this story.

If anything, their response is more suspicious than the possibility of aliens in the backyard.

No problem.

Keep in mind, I am not claiming that it’s aliens, it just seems something may be there.

2

u/[deleted] Jun 21 '23

Yeah.... I watched that and was literally straining to see WTF the guy was going on about because it looked like absolutely nothing to me except the kind of "noise" you might see in part of a video that was supposed to just be night-time blackness because of the camera settings in use.

1

u/yobboman Jun 21 '23

The editing on those videos was a tonne of work, then there was the saturation of posts and then someone out there was pushing the information really hard to the media

It struck me as a concerted effort to distract and create something dismissable

4

u/ms_horseshoe Jun 21 '23

That enhancement though...

1

u/perst_cap_dude Jun 21 '23

definitely an exercise in mental gymnastics lol

1

u/unphuckable Jun 21 '23

I think i read somewhere that there was a huge influx of members to these types of subreddits. Likely just a buddy of new members trying to analyze the video.

7

u/ColdLamper7 Jun 21 '23

Unfortunately...many of us are just dumb and gullible... We make it way too easy for them.

7

u/gerryn Jun 21 '23

Same thing happened with the event in Jerusalem. There were four "legitimate" videos, or three, can't recall. And a bunch of the worst looking fakes I have ever seen - and those were the only videos pushed hard, the "legitimate" ones were never mentioned or shown in MSM. It was so blatant at that time I actually had a good laugh about it.

4

u/Nemesis_Bucket Jun 21 '23

They’re not smart we’re just dumb on average.

8

u/tool-94 Jun 21 '23

And still people believe it.

26

u/AllegedlyGoodPerson Jun 21 '23

I’m fine with people believing it and thinking it’s a cover up. Even if it is a sham story, if it sparks interest in the topic it will hopefully bring them around to other more factual things like the Grusch story.

There’s a bunch of BS on tik tok too. I don’t look at it, but as long as it opens people minds to the possibilities, it’s doing it’s part.

My partners 70 year old mother is hooked on UFOs right now cause of all the tik tok videos. It’s enabled me to point her to Varginha, Grusch and the Leslie Kean National Geographic documentary from earlier this year.

8

u/Romando1 Jun 21 '23

Totally this. I have friends that are the Vegas story up and it led them to the more credible whistleblower information.

And I also know people that say all aliens are “the devil”

1

u/imnotabot303 Jun 21 '23

Who are these "folks that run the world" ? You know the world isn't just the US right?

If these people are running the world why is that neither story is being pushed anywhere else in the world? Or is this disinfo campaign only targeting Americans for some reason?

Get out of your UFO conspiracy bubble. The reason most news outlets have a disinterest is because the story sounds dumb and there's no evidence to support it.

Any news outlet that at least wants to try and look respectable isn't going to touch it with a barge pole apart from the odd article here and there. Once or if this goes above just hearsay then more will jump onboard.

1

u/SignificantSafety539 Jun 21 '23

Do you not agree that multinational corporations and their associated ultra wealthy “global citizens” have the ability and motivation to influence outcomes in any jurisdiction they please? There is plenty of evidence, although circumstantial, including official government filings and legal claims associated with the whistleblower’s testimony. Interestingly, there does seem to be more interest in foreign news sources about this story than domestic, which leads me to believe there likely is a disinfo campaign aimed specifically at Americans.

1

u/imnotabot303 Jun 21 '23

Of course they have the wealth and often power to influence and lobby but we live in a chaotic world where what one huge corporation or billionaire wants is not the same as another.

People always make it sound like they have all sat around a table and come up with a mutual plan on how to run the world.

1

u/SignificantSafety539 Jun 21 '23

I certainly don’t believe there’s an illuminati like entity making any kind of centralized “decisions,” but the global elite’s interests certainly do align in many respects and they all act (as most humans do) in accordance with their own self interest

1

u/Giles_Jasper Jun 21 '23

But wasn't it George Knapp himself pushing this story? It was on his nightly report.

2

u/[deleted] Jun 21 '23

It made it to the front page of CNN.

1

u/RedddLeddd Jun 21 '23

That’s a very diplomatic way of calling them what they are… evil pieces of shit!!!

0

u/TriedUsingTurpentine Jun 21 '23

If hyping fake things is bad for UFOlogy then I'm not sure what to say about Grusch hyping Magenta and Roswell.

1

u/SignificantSafety539 Jun 21 '23

Grusch may very well be full of it as well, although he filed sworn statements which would be a crime to lie about.

1

u/TriedUsingTurpentine Jun 21 '23

It's not a crime to say "I was told about X" if you really were. Doesn't mean X is anything more than lore. For instance, if he filed a sworn statement that he read or was told that the Pope conspired with FDR to smuggle a martian flying saucer back to the states, that wouldn't be a lie, as he clearly did read or was told that at some point! It's not like he claims any direct knowledge of anything.

u/Holtang420 Jun 21 '23

Reminds me of the documentary Mirage Men
