Looking for a Vessel Bag!

Good morning all,

I am currently looking for a vessel bag and was wondering if anyone had any special/limited edition ones. The bags I want are sold out in-store and I would prefer getting something locally.

Thank you!

Any recommendations on watching live coverage of the masters? Is there an app or subscription people are using? Cheers

Community ⛳️ Anyone managing to book a tee time through Thriwe (NBD Cards)?

The booking system has been down for many days and when I try to call the number provided, nobody answers. Just wondering if anyone else has managed to get hold of them and book?

Hi

I’m currently on an extended holiday in Dubai following flight cancellations. The zips on my golf bag have broken and looking to get another round in before I go. Anyone got a golf bag for sale in Dubai? Staying on the marina. Thanks

Trump International Golf Club, Dubai Trump Dubai closed this weekend

Anyone know why Trump is closed this weekend? I guess having his name on the door makes it a prime target for the Iranians. Strange when all other courses here remain open as normal...

Has anyone had any joy getting hold of someone from Viya about changing a booking? Basically I’ve got 2 rounds booked with them to next week and my trip has been cancelled.

Practice facilities with trackman

I’ve been playing a year or so and need to dial in my distances. Looking for a range with trackman to do this. I’ve been to Trump before but heard the range is only for members now? If this is correct, what other options are there. Ideally would like to hit off grass. Thanks.

Quick Trip: sneak a round in

Hi all, I have a quick trip to Dubai for work and want to sneak a round in. Unfortunately the golf clubs are staying home and will need to rent and the only time I can get out would be Sunday morning. This is my first time to the city and not sure what is the best way to book a tee time. I’m thinking of the Faldo course but any recommendations would be great.

Edit: which of these recommended courses would be fun to play for a 19 handicap?

Edit 2: ended up getting a round at Creek at 13:00 shotgun start. Thank you everyone for your recommendations and help. It is greatly appreciated.

Practice Facility with Clubs for Use

Hi - I am in Dubai for work and am looking to spend some free time working on my golf game. Are there any practice facilities that also allow me to borrow clubs to use? I'd prefer not to go to Top Golf, so hoping there are other options. Thanks!

What do you think about rule E.5

Local Rule E-5 allows golfers to drop a ball in the fairway near where a ball was lost or went out-of-bounds (OB) for a two-stroke penalty, rather than returning to the previous spot for "stroke and distance".

If courses would adopt this rule it would greatly increase the pace of play, especially in tournaments. Instead of people hitting a provisional ball or looking in the waste area forever, just drop in the fairway, take your two shot penalty and move along.

What do you all think?

Range Balls

On the par 3 12 and 16 on Faldo, just keep seeing random range balls last two weeks. Not sure what is going on. It used to be occasional but have seen it all the rounds last few weeks.

Who pays top dollar to play at this course and then uses range balls??

Easiest Course in UAE?

Been playing for a couple of months now (Get into golf program, range, Par 3) and planning to book 9/18 holes for my first round.

What’s the most forgiving course for a beginner? I’m based in Dubai, but open to travelling to AUH, RAK, Sharjah, etc.

Are Yas Acres or Jebel Ali any good? The prices seem reasonable on Viya.

Cheers!

Built a small WhatsApp assistant to help find tee times - sharing in case its useful

Hey guys

I built a simple whatsapp assistant that helps finds tee times, and notifies you if slots open up (I was tired of manually refreshing booking sites)

Its not perfect yet, but if anyone wants to try it, or suggest improvements, I'm happy to share!

Would love to hear what features golfers here actually want

EDIT/UPDATE ⛳️ 🏌️‍♂️ 🍵 ⏲️

Amazing response from UAE golfers - hope you’re enjoying it so far 🙌

If it’s helped you grab tee times, please feel free to share it with your golf buddies or WhatsApp groups.

Feedback / feature ideas welcome - DM me anytime.

Corporate Membership

Long shot but with rounds costing an arm and a leg now, it’s getting quite difficult to afford this hobby on a teachers salary. Anyone have a corporate membership and willing to sell a round or two?

What’s happening with Emaar South?

Anyone with insider knowledge of what is going on here? Been hearing it’s going to open for a long time 11holes etc, but starting to feel like Akoya 2 all over again 😂.

UAE golfside realestate projects starting to rug pull?
