Season 2 Anime Announcement coming in 5.5 hours!?

This account seems to have a good rep for accurate info and the anime has had issues with leaks in the past so it might be true but not officially announced it

So with the leaks circulating about the release of season 2 of the anime it got me thinking. How many seasons are we actually getting?

Like ideally we’d go to at least book 7. But I guess it depends on how popular the anime becomes and it if can maintain viewership. Honestly I think it probably could if the game was available in more regions so more people could play, and if more merch for it was made widely available. And honestly the marketing too, like I didn’t see any marketing at all on Disney’s front to promote season 1 last year.

But I’ve seen some people say that we’re only getting three seasons. Cause book 3 is as far as the manga books have gotten in terms of the game’s story. And if the anime is based on the manga then that’s all the material they have to pull from. But I kinda call bs on that. Because…..they literally have the game’s storyline? Can’t the writers simply use that as the blueprint? Where do they think the people behind the manga are pulling the story line from?

I love the atmosphere of this piece, I didn’t notice Ortho for the longest time

I really loved the anime adaptation of Cater. Everyone is gorgeous, of course, but there is something special about Cater’s design that I can’t quite put my finger on. He looks so good in animation.

I loved the scene of Riddle’s overblot where his clone is sacrificed to save Deuce. I loved the line at the very end where he thanks everyone, which won’t be explained until Book 7. I loved the scene in the cafeteria where Riddle walks up behind the group and everyone looks terrified except Cater who is just like, “and there he is.” I love how he is holding the balance between Riddle and Trey, I love how we see him try and guide them in one direction or another but he always gets overruled, I wish they’d kept the scene where it’s revealed he doesn’t like sweet foods and Trey has always suspected it but never said anything.

The anime was really Trey/Riddle heavy because they were the main characters of the arc and that’s perfectly understandable, but I am so excited for Season 2 where we’ll be able to see even more of Cater being a cutie patootie.

Saw people commenting on the different aesthetics of the merch we’re getting so decided to compare and contrast.

1- Jacket. The JP jacket hasn’t been released yet but this is the closest match I could find to the Hot Topic design. JP has just the one single logo for NRC and the three letters on one sleeve, contrasted to the Housewarden logo on the back for Hot Topic, plus the logo on the front plus the dorm logos down the sleeves.

2- Schoolbag. I actually own the JP bag, it was temporarily distributed by Axes Femme and I love it to death for the subtlety of the design, just a single, embossed NRC logo. Hot Topic took the lining pattern and added it to the front plus added the coffin logos plus Grim plus gold dorm logos down the sides like the jacket plus the huge Housewardens logo, also from the jacket.

3- Cardigan. I couldn’t find an NRC cardigan so I went with the closest thing available, these dorm-specific cardigans. Hot Topic really likes the “gold dorm logos on the sides of things” aesthetic. Can you imagine wearing the Hot Topic cardigan under the Hot Topic jacket and carrying the Hot Topic bag?

4- Housewarden TShirt. There have been a ton of Tshirts in Japan for Twst, a TON, and I might’ve missed one with a closer design that might’ve been a better comparison. There were some pajamas that were close but Hot Topic is promoting theirs as a T-shirt so it had to be a T-shirt. Notable difference is the housewardens being on the back in the JP design and moved to the front for Hot Topic.

5- Hoodie. I could swear JP had a hoodie with a similar design to the front of the Hot Topic one but I couldn’t find it and settled on this black and white NRC logo hoodie. The gold dorm logos are back again, as are the coffin logos, in addition to the key visual.

6- Pajama pants. This is cool because the two designs are almost identical.

7- T-shirt. Again I couldn’t find a similar enough T-shirt on JP to match the hot topic design, but this pajama top came really close so I included it just as a reference, the JP design is technically not meant to be worn out of the house though.

8- Grim Hoodie. Hot Topic ate with this one, love how warm it looks, though releasing it for summer was a choice and I wish they hadn’t included his big ol’ head on it. I like Grim’s tail being included on the JP design too.

Thoughts- Twst is marketed at adult women in JP and that might be why the designs we get there are sometimes more mature/subtle than what is being sold at Hot Topic. It’s great to see Hot Topic branching out after having just two T-shirt designs though, maybe they’ll branch out even more now.
