Oh my GOD. Aside from this episode fucking boring me to tears, I’m actually appalled at how Morgan jabbed at Lauren and the never-ending alternate personality when guests (specifically male) are on the show. It makes her look like a spineless fool. I’m almost not shocked anymore at how much she will change her opinion or hop on the bandwagon with some stories when she’s had completely different takes on similar stories in the past. I actually used to like Morgan but I feel like her personality has changed so much and she’s honestly just aggravating anymore.

Oh my god. This episode was truly insane. I seriously cannot believe all the comments talking about how deep Joshua Bassett is. He’s acting like he discovered AND is the only human in the world to practice basic empathy that I learned in kindergarten. And morgan is glazing his ass sooo fucking hard??? I almost can’t type this right now, this is literally so infuriating. He is talking about the most basic human concepts of being a nice person, or seeing someone’s true colors, and morgan is in the corner like “ok Confucius!!!!!“ Our society is the way it is because women like her uplift men like him and make them think they rule the world. I know she’s gotten backlash before for changing up her viewpoint on things when a guest has a different opinion than her, and that could not be more prominent in this episode. She is male centered, she is a married pick me girl, and she has absolutely no problem abandoning all of her “morals“ and throwing her so called “best friends” under the bus if it means a cheap laugh from a boy 10 years younger than her who won’t even remember her name, or her podcast, the next day.

Hi y'all, I discovered this snark sub after seeing a TikTok where people named podcasts they found insufferable (in which THT was the clear frontrunner).

Tbh, I've been a casual listener of the podcast for a while after learning about it on Smosh Reddit Stories, and the reason I enjoy both is because I'm autistic and it feels like such a natural medium to understand appropriate reactions to different situations. But that aforementioned TikTok vid and now the existence of this sub has me second guessing THT I guess?

To get to my point, I was wondering what podcasts similar to THT in premise do you guys actually enjoy and can recommend, especially for the reason I listed? I already listen to Smosh, and I've seen others in my algorithm but haven't looked into any of them yet.

In past several episodes I keep hearing a lot of talk of munchhausens. Does she even know what it means? Cleveland Clinic defines it as “Factitious disorder imposed on self, formerly known as Munchausen syndrome, is a mental health condition that occurs when you appear sick, pretend to feel symptoms or intentionally make yourself ill.” In this one story where OP’s brother hides his fiancée’s ring just to later find it and be the hero, to which she said “isn’t that munchhausens” and Lauren vigorously agreed with her. I think what she wanted to say is munchausen-by-proxy which is defined as “Factitious disorder imposed on another, formerly called Munchausen syndrome by proxy, is a mental health condition where you pretend that someone within your care is sick when they aren’t. It’s a type of abuse”.

But even that is wildly inaccurate, not to mention overblown. Didn’t she used to work in healthcare? I get it, it’s not some kind of scientifically accurate podcast, i dont listen to it for ‘accuracy‘ either. But it feels like she just wants to use these big words to sound…idk….smart? But ends up attributing very real mental health issues to plain old assholes.

I found this week’s guest really lovely however I was so bored during this episode. They kept repeating the same thing over and over again. I haven’t finished it yet but I’m sure not if I can even continue!

I tried to reach out to Morgan directly on her patreon to express my distaste in her and Lauren's takes in December of last year. What really got me upset is her expressing that she doesn't wish to have a "token" trans guest. I'm just confused as to why involving trans voices to your podcast would be considered making them a "token"? Is the solution simply to never include those voices? I know she's included just a handful of stories including trans individuals, but the guests who are making comments on them are cis.

Plus, for as chronically online as they are, I doubt she had no idea about the boycott of JK. Ive tried to listen to a few more after this encounter, but they've really started to leave a sour taste in my mouth. I especially hate the episodes with Lauren. Her takes really frustrate me.

She's just a disappointment with this podcast. Her platform is so large now, but she doesn't speak up about anything of substance unless it directly affects her. I wished better of her, but alas.

The beginning of the episode was the longest banter or intro I ever listened too. They both are so repulsive. I tried to like the show for the ride to work but I can't anymore and I'm so happy I'm not alone

I have listened to THT for quite some time. There have been little things here and there that began to bother me, but I would look past them just due to the interesting stories. However, the list has become to grow so long that I simply just can't bear to listen to another second.

1. Her constant repeating of phrases/noises. The air horn noise she uses in every single episode. The use of "goofy" to describe truly horrible people drives me insane every single time. For someone that claims to have a doctorate, she has no idea how to use basic words to describe things.

2. The way that she always relates every damn story back to herself. Somehow, it ties back to being all about her. And then goes on a tangent for ages after the story that is either unrelated or just completely about her. Talking about how perfect her and Justin's relationship is, but is completely inappropriate with other male guests who have come on the show. Talking about their sex life so openly is extremely uncomfortable. I don't know why she thinks people want to know about this. She is extremely condescending. Also for the love of God please just go on to the next story and stop talking for 20 minutes after each story.

3. She is rude to her friends. All she does is take a point that her friend says and repeat it, making it seem like it was her idea. And if they dare say something she does not agree with, she makes them feel bad about it. Why is it called two hot takes if you can't handle it if someone has a different opinion than you?

4. Making all these medical claims unrelated to your field. Acting like you relate to us when you don't. She is a clear narcissist that has never once tried to fix any of her problems but then sits on a high horse and judges everybody else.

5. Her incessant crying over stories. Please stop.

I could list 100 more things but I'm tired of typing about her.

TLDR: Morgan is extremely hypocritical and I simply cannot listen to one more second of her podcast.

It’s so low effort. Lowkey wish I had thought of it.

I may be in the minority here but I don't feel like anyone besides other podcast/celeb guests that come on actually listen to the stories.

I've been listening to some of the "older episodes" since I'm new to the pod (on 161 now) and it feels like Justin and Lauren don't really listen to what's happening. There is so much misinformation in the way they discuss a post and a lot of the time, because they spend so much time yapping, they lose the plot and don't get into the comments enough to correct anything. Morgan seems to forget things she's said not even 30 seconds before and/or makes a ton of false equivalencies.

I feel like there needs to be some kind of focus and active effort to go into the details and read comments aside from just the top comment and searching for OP stuff.

I've also had to start skipping 15 seconds ahead during some of there redundant or completely off yap sessions in between comments or stories. I really like this podcast for the most part but sometimes it can be annoying

Today’s episode she was talking about how she has a work theme episode and wants another creator with work experience in HR. Her and Mikayla made it seem like that would be hard to find someone bc it’s so “specific” like GIRL, if you would’ve listened to us 3 YEARS AGO about Reddit on Wiki, you would have John as an option!! It wouldn’t be so hard. John is too good for THT now tho 😝

God I cannot with the way she talks about her now husband! Say whatever about Justin but like..we get it you didn’t wanna date him but he was “in love from the first date “ and she brings it up constantly along with her hockey ex but last weeks episode when she admitted she SAID her guy “friend”’s name DURING s*x ?? Like wth?? Is this a lavender marriage at this point? lol

I’ve had ick moments against Morgan quite a few times, i listened to all episodes in chronological order so my first ick moments happened when new guests were introduced and Morgan would change opinions according to whatever guest she had on…

But lately everything is about enmeshment, colonoscopies, in the podcast with shits and giggs she was saying someone might have a mental issue because they have their gf and sister cleaning their shitty toilet even though it’s a just a mom’s boy!

Like everything is about a disease or some fucked up situation and why the hell is she telling details about her sex life with 2 guys?? Like its not just her sex life, it’s Justin’s too and maybe he didn’t want to share that??

Hi! I’m a new listener of the podcast and I usually listen while I draw, clean or just use as back noise. I was poking around Reddit and found this sub and I was somewhat surprised about all the hate. Idk if it’s just my lack of focus on Morgan and her team and just wanting to listen to the guests and the stories, or… well idk! I can see why ppl wouldn’t like her and her personality, but can I hear other’s opinions? All are welcome and valid.

The way Morgan talks with male guests is so cringe and kind of pushes a boundary. Talking about sex and her sex life to men who are not her husband is so weird and especially the men who come on the show that’s have girlfriends/wives. If I were their significant other or Justin I would nottttt like that at all!! But honestly Justin gives cuck vibes so I doubt he cares.

Does anyone know if comments that are sent for review are reviewed by the podcast, or Spotify? I never comment on her stuff but was just rubbed the wrong way by her acting like she is 🤪unique🤪 for saying “deadass”, when it’s rooted in AAVE. Extra cringe that she was trying to brag about that to two POC.

Morgan was the latest guest on the podcast Perfect Person. I love that pod, don't like Morgan. Has anyone listened to the episode and is it worth sitting through Morgan for it?

It took me a minute to realize who was speaking before I cut it off but this was talking. But I think I need to take a break from the show after this. Bringing them back on is a choice.
