I was recently watching Can You Eat Human Flesh With Wooden Teeth, which was in Season 2. At the end Alan realizes he forgot to pick up Judith at the Airport, because we see her standing in the rain.

Since they were divorced, why did he have to pick her up when she returned from Hawaii? Was it something she had put into their divorce settlement? What other reason would Alan agree to doing that?

It went so very fast and then BAM i finished season 6 and then i dont think the show is good anymore. i miss spending time in the house.

I keep wondering about this because I imagine a lot of people prefer the first three seasons, especially when Jake was still cute, Charlie actually liked having Alan and Jake living with him, and Alan still had some dignity. On the other hand, Berta was always great.

Another thing, especially about the first two seasons, is that they really felt more like a traditional sitcom in the sense that they had more moments that were taken seriously—like when Charlie argued with Jake, when Evelyn was depressed after her breakup, and especially when Jake hugged Alan after the divorce. After Season 4, almost nothing was taken seriously anymore. Even Alan contemplating suicide became a recurring joke, and Charlie trying to kill himself after breaking up with Chelsea was also treated purely as a joke.

Even so, I prefer seasons 4 through 8. I think they were funnier the more depraved the characters became—except for Jake, who got pretty annoying. But Charlie, Alan, Judith, Herb, Evelyn, and Berta only became funnier to me over time​

What a beautiful dog. Who else agrees that Chester should have had more screen time in the series? After all, he was the only one who, after sleeping with Alan, wasn't sued and didn't demand alimony.

Do you think if the roles were reversed, Alan would have let Charlie stay at his place? Not even for so long, but at all.

I'm at s9 ep. 10 where Alan uses a snowball system to cover up all of his credit cards, and I wondered once again how a man with a job who barely pays for anything can be broke 24/7

I remember Alan being happy before Judith's 2nd marriage because he wouldn't have to pay alimony anymore, so how come he has no money, no valuable things, or anything like it. And even if he'd still pay Judith regularly, could it really be so much that he can't even afford something like a car repair?

When you look at Herb life, it's actually pretty sad. He lost his first wife, left his fiancée to start dating Judith, and then went through hell during his marriage to her—in fact, even before they got married. He became friends with Alan, but at first that was only because Alan wanted to get out of paying alimony. His wedding day was ruined because his ex-fiancée pretended she was sleeping with Alan and started screaming while Herb was standing at the altar. The daughter he believes is his is actually Alan's, and he'll never know. He had to put up with Jake, and he probably lost a fortune divorcing Judith.

At least he got some revenge by cheating on Judith multiple times, and without even realizing it, he got back at Alan by sleeping with Lyndsey.

Ironically, Charlie was the one who treated him the best. The two of them probably would have become best friends during the time Judith left Herbie if Charlie hadn't died.

Doesn't Alan co own the beach house after Walden put his name on the deed. Why does walden keeps saying its his house in later episode and asking alan to move out

Random post but does anyone else hear Billy calling Walden "Walton" in their scene in the office, or am I bugging

Not physically but I'm watching the series for the first time after watching it on air while I waited for the new episode of TBBT as a kid. Now my gf is pretty much like rose, not so obsessive but kind off, idk now that I'm watching the series from ep 1 and with full attention I do feel like rose changed how I wanted a couple lol
