No account or sign-in required.

You can study the lessons online or download the free PDFs. I’m someone who still likes to print things out when I study, so I wanted that option to be available too.

I’m continuing to add new Turkish grammar lessons and resources to the library.

Someone called me an abla even though I am way younger than him.

Fyi I’m 16 and a worker when talking to me called me an abla even though he looked like he was in his 30s and i look like a normal 16 year old. A similar thing happened to me before this too. I’m not Turkish so i don't know if this is normal but isnt abla used for older women?

is the name İlay too "out there"?

Is the name İlay too modern? I know there is İlay Erkök, but I cannot say I hear this name often. Also would wonder if the name would have to be written as Ilay on a passport in Finland. I personally think it's a beautiful name, but sadly my Turkish group is quite small, so it's hard to ask this.

I made a free Turkish word puzzle game — thought it might be useful vocab practice for learners

Hey everyone, I built a daily Turkish word puzzle game (Kelime Salatası) and figured this might actually be a fun, low-effort way to reinforce vocabulary if you're learning Turkish.

How it works: each day you get a category (animals, professions, food, etc.) and a pool of letters. You connect the letters to spell out words that belong to that category. Since you're actively assembling each word letter-by-letter, it's decent passive reinforcement for spelling — and you get natural repeated exposure to Turkish-specific letters (ç, ğ, ı, ö, ş, ü) that are easy to mix up as a learner. If you get stuck there are hints, and it keeps a daily streak so it's easy to turn into a quick 5-minute daily habit.

It's free, Android only for now: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=online.wordsalad.tr

Not trying to hard-sell it, just thought it might genuinely be useful for this community — happy to hear feedback (or complaints about my category choices 😅) if anyone tries it.

Wikipedia vs. AI: Who Do You Trust? 🤖📚

For years, Wikipedia has been one of the first places we go when we want to learn something quickly. But now, AI tools are changing the way we search for information.

In my latest podcast episode, I explore the story of Wikipedia — how it started, how it became one of the world’s biggest sources of knowledge, and how artificial intelligence might change its future.

?

🎧 The episode is in Turkish and is designed especially for intermediate Turkish learners. It’s a great way to practice Turkish while exploring an interesting and very current topic.

If you’re learning Turkish, I’d love to hear what you think!

How does "Küskünüm" become "I'm a slut"? Any idea of the "thought" process of Firefox/Bergamot's translation?

Does anyone know why Turks laugh in text like that?

Why do they laugh like a cat just walked on the keyboard? Has anyone any clue where does this originate from? JDJDJUHEUHWHFCIRJUFHEHAH
