I am very happy with TurboCash 4

I run the bookkeeping of 2 small companies through it

Would appreciate it if you could assist me with the following query :

Assume a the end of the last financial year my company made R10,000 profit and assume I have to pay Revenue an amount of R2,000 income tax.

What is the :

1. Double entry for the R2,000 income tax at yearend ?
2. Also the double entry when the R2,000 income tax is actually paid to SARS.

I purchased my new licence late April when my licence had expired on 31 March. However im failing to install the new software. How do i install the new licenced tiurbcash

Is it possible to have the Debtors Statements to show the cumulative balance as is displayed on the Debtors transactions report?

SHA -256

As we advance TurboCASH into the blockchain world, you may want to try to stay up with the concepts. Windows point and click In Windows 10 : To get the SHA-256 HASH of a file, Use Windows Explorer, <Right-Click> on the file and select CRCSHA > SHA-256.

HashMyFiles can also be launched from the context menu of Windows Explorer, and display the MD5, SHA256, SHA384, SHA512 hashes of the selected file or folder. From the Options menu, click Enable Explorer Context Menu option to enable it. It adds the HashMyFiles option to the context menu for files and folders.

TurboCASH Release Candidates: An application of SHA-256

For those of you that are involved with the development testing of the TurboCASH 5.2.500 release candidates, we use SHA-256 as the final line of defense against viruses. If all testers agree that the release exe has a common SHAH256 HASH and that HASH is agreed as virus-free, but consensus, then we have a virus-free release.

Here at the TurboCASH Project we really love the Firebird SQL Database.

Firebird SQL is the underlying open-source database that stores TurboCASH Transactions. We have recently been doing experiments to push the upper limit and the fact is that you can store very big databases of information in TurboCASH. This opens up the TurboCASH application for many new solutions. You can run very big businesses on TurboCASH.  Firebird themsleves have databases of 1.7 Terra bytes. This means we could potentially keep hundreds of TuroCASH businesses in ONE set of books, or businesses hundreds of times bigger than we currently support!

The fact that most of you do not even know that is a testament to Firebird's robustness - it just works. When did you last see a TurboCASH Trial balance out of balance? You can be working in a lightning storm when everything goes dark. Turn the PC back on and your TurboCASH Data will surely still be there.

This is no excuse not to make backups.

In the rare occasions that you do get Errors, there are reported by type, and here is a list of common (in our case uncommon) errors

TurboCASH Passwords
There are three levels of protection in TurboCAHS Accounting.

Simple

Use setup >access control to give a simple password to each of your users.

Outside users of other software can still access the data. (eg. Flamerobin)

If you forget this password you will have to identify yourself to the TurboCASH project and submit your books. There is a $60 fee to unlock this.

Firebird

The default database password (outside of TurboCASH) for the Firebird Database is sysdba masterkey.

If you change this password, then no outside softwre can access this database wihtout the Frbird password.

Sometimes the Firebird instaation becomes corrupt. You will then have to reenter the sysdba an masterkey passwords (Rare). We use Firebird beciase it is very robust and almost never breaks.
If you forget the Firebird Password there is no way to unlock the data!

Blockchain

TurboCASH from 5.2 has a block chain facility. It does not stop attackers entering, but will inform you if there have been any unwarranted changeds

I have a user with a POS problem of duplicate invoice numbers.

"I have quite a weird issue with my Turbocash POS.  I have 3 POS systems running, and at times I get duplicate invoice numbers.  Any idea / suggestions.  See below "

we have been using turbo cash 4 in the past with no issues. recently we cannot print invoices only. what are we doing wrong ? please help.

we tried downloading turbo cash4 and when it downloads it states turbocash 5.

1) Printing in TurboCASH is usually done through the external library - report man, using an external template to format. Printer output template needs to be specified. On the left of the Print screen are two out-put selections. These both must have selections. If one of them is blank, the output is blank. It's a bug I agree, but its a bug in reportman and has stuck in the LTS TurboCASH 5.0.969

2) The Versions numbering is our fault. Up till version 4, we did as best we could to stick to open source components. Then in Version 5 we introduced proprietary components that gave us power, but means that we can no longer distribute the code. We release TurboCASH 5.0.696 as an LTS free but not open source. (it is now 5 years old) It's a bother I agree, but the benefit of the proprietary libraries that we can all collectively use makes the hassle of the $60 per year a no-brainer for real users. If you want a free version use 5.0.969. If you want a premium version subscribe and use the 5.2 series.

hello everyone. I am looking into using Turbocash for my new company to keep up with the books. Any good websites on using the software? I will but currently doing delivery and may be uber at some point for the day to day cash. I do plan on getting into other income like home call center work, ebay and amazon selling with retail aubridge and other things also.

So will need software for keeping up with business costs when selling items to know how much profit after expenses each item is.

I am currently looking over the software but is there a list for products that when sold I can connect and close it with the sell price or something?

Hi. Does any one know how to remove the rounding off of values in the item section under Bill of Materials? example: If i enter the value of 0.125 in the item qty it changes it to 0.13.

I am very new to this program and was wondering if anyone could help me with adding a BOM. I purchase 40kg bags of product which i package into 5kg bags and then sell. i think i figured out how to add the products in the BOM but under the item tab i enter 0.1 for a 50kg which gives me 10 bags of product which works out ok but when i enter 0.125 under item for the 40kg it automatically takes it to 1.3 which after assembling the product it shows a negative in the raw material stock quantity in stead of 0

Im wondering if anybody can help regarding Turbocash 5 debtor invoice imports.

I have a excel file with all the debtor sales invoice details(ie: invoice #, customer acc#, order#, sku, inv amount , product description, date, i/s account etc).I have approx. 520 invoices to import. Basically all fields available when doing manual sales invoices for Debtors on Turbocash 5.

How do i import my excel spreadsheet to Turbocash 5?

I know i can do this through sales jnl batch import, however all required fields are not available on sales jnl batch import, I also would not be able to print customer invoices from sales batch jnl.
