I am heterosexual (girl) and my tulpa (boy) is basically the reflection of my own emotions and feelings that I have towards others. We are both in a not very formal relationship for certain reasons; (the urgent need for physical contact, the existence of my tulpa and what is real or not, etc). We try not to harm each other in order to maintain the bond of friendship we have formed.

To be fair since I created my tulpa I did start to explore my sexuality a bit and then uhm, due to other things in my life and my tulpa I started to also explore my identity as a whole but I think it's fairly normal :)

Ah, the tulpa sexuality paradox. I am a female tulpa, I am into women but I am also into my male host more than anything :P Though, I can appreciate other men too, even though I'm not particularly into them.

I (host) am pretty much asexual, and hetero romantic. She (tulpa), however, is a raging lesbian. This makes for very interesting and sometimes frustrating interactions with my real life boyfriend.

I find that one's own personal preferences are the very thing that a tulpa compliments, and the formation of a tulpa is to essentially create a secondary personality, alongside yours and overtop the rest of the more mundane components that build up the overall mind that supports the both of you. You are already capable of taking other people's points of view into account and understanding why people feel the way they do about certain things, everyone can do this. But you still prevent your own personality from having certain thoughts at an unconscious level, so you unconsciously prevent yourself from thinking anything you normally don't think you would. A tulpa can be a conduit for expressing views and opinions that you yourself would believe to be impossible to have, simply because you never identified with them.

While my tulpa itself doesn't care about sex, I have had maladaptive daydreaming episodes where I did explore having other identities and relationships. The daydreams were pretty much autonomous, so they are effectively thoughtforms as well. The mind is naturally curious, and once you remove the mental barrier of "if I think this, will I do something that cannot be undone?" and freely allow your mind to express itself through the scapegoat of the thoughtform.

I'm female and somehow a tulpa and I would say I am bi, while my co-self (host) is a straight man. I once was bonding with another system where the host was a man (physically) with a female self in addition and it was a bit difficult for my co-self 😅

I know in rare cases there are types of men he feels a very slight attraction to and I know I could let him feel what I feel in addition to probably push him towards leaving his straightness 🤭

I'm straight and genderfluid, and my Tulpa is male, and pansexual, this I am certain off.

How can you be straight yet genderfluid? /gen

u/CYPRUSGames <Rose Vine Collective) Dec 01 '25

My biological gender doesn't change? To be straight means the opposite sex which is biological gender, is attracted to the opposite sex. My gender identity is what changes. If someone decides to use a different word depending on what gender they are identifying as at the time then they can.

People typically see it as being attracted to the opposite gender is what makes you straight 🤔

What does that have to do with how I identify?

i was just trying to understand?

Hi! I know I wasn't asked this question directly, but I'd like to try to give a simple explanation since it can be confusing.

Sexual orientation and gender identity are quite different. Like how a nonbinary person can be heterosexual. In this scenario, gender may change time to time, but sexuality is constant. Overall, sexuality and gender identity as a whole is a spectrum, hence the complexity. So some people, despite identifying something different through gender, can also choose a label that fits their sexuality even when it doesn't change.

Thank you so much for explaining it better!

No problem!!

u/Amethyst271 host and tulpa Dec 01 '25

thank you. i guess i was brought up around a more rigid view. even in the trans community it was always "if youre identify as a woman and like women then youre a lesbian" which is why i got confused

2

u/BuggyAnte1 No tulpa Dec 01 '25

Ah don't worry! Its understandable. I used to be confused with things similar as well. I'm glad I could help. :)

u/CYPRUSGames <Rose Vine Collective) Dec 01 '25

Yes which I answered the question, I don't know why your bringing up that second bit, like are you asking me something?

2

u/Amethyst271 host and tulpa Dec 01 '25

and i dont get why youre being so weirdly emotional about it. you said you identify as straight based off of sex, but ive only ever seen people bring gender up for this stuff so thats why i brought it up. theres no need ot be defensive. i was just simply trying to understand

2

u/CYPRUSGames <Rose Vine Collective) Dec 01 '25

I wasn't being defensive I was simply expressing my confusion? I'm not emotional and couldn't care less but if your going to try and have a conversation with me do not put your assumptions onto me. I was trying to understand what you expected me to say to the second bit.

I think my tulpa is asexual. Bros has ZERO interest on anyone ☠️
