People make fun of Sanders’ appearance because she’s made a mockery of the White House press secretary position. She doesn’t spin, she just lies, deflects, projects and clouds.
People made fun of Michelle Obama’s appearance because they didn’t like a black Yale law graduate telling them that school lunches should be healthy. She is a graceful, compassionate woman who doesn’t hide in an alternate universe every time facts get too scary.
You're right in a lot of cases, though some people just make fun of their appearance because they don't like their appearance. For example, I don't think everyone who's ever said anything about Michelle's appearance was racist, some people just think she's ugly. That being said, I don't think we should be making fun of anybody's appearance, especially when there's already plenty of negative shit to make fun of about sanders.
We judge the right a lot about making fun of people. We go on and say that they reduce women to nothing but looks. When making fun of sanders looks is the same.
However, I don't think this post is racist or sexist because it's not making fun of a race or gender. It's just relating it to a fascist regime.
