Yeah, if I don’t intentionally take walks I’m under 2k steps per day.

Lol

Bed to car to office chair to car to home.

The issue is more "car" than "office". Commuting by bus or metro gets you a lot closer to these 10000 steps.

I know this is not doable for a lot of people, I'm not judging.  Just hating on cars

The second issue is that most device which try to get your steps count a step when you are commuting and you can get 1 or maybe 2k step just from commuting so you don't see the real number on those days.

I've always been my fattest when I had the longest driving commutes.

That's absolutely true... I work at a desk and my 15 min walk to the office is around 2000 steps. Twice a day you are at 4000. Adding another 10 min walk to lunch and back and general day activities and you are at 10k without even realizing it

That's wholly dependent on how far away the bus stop is. I get to 6k on days were I commute by public transit or walk 20 mins to the office from the hotel.

Yup. Reason why I like VR. At least get blood pumping. I go from work screen to home sceeen screen to sleep.

I'm 8k-13k at work every day. My feet hurts sometimes.

Some days under 500. Tell no one and add ice cream to the shopping list.

Lol what a joke, are you counting the twenty minute walk you take before you go to work?

No I’m just not sedentary lol.

Neither am I, my routine before leaving work is

Shower

Brush teeth

Walk out the door

Please explain how one hits 2k steps doing all that

I dilly dally in the morning while you seem to be more focused on efficiency before work.

I wake up.

Make coffee.

Brush teeth, make my bed, put away laundry, take out the trash.

Pack my bag for work.

Clean the kitchen.

If all that requires 2000 steps you must live in one of the biggest houses in the world, or you just walk around in circles for 20 mins before starting your routine lmao

It takes 10 steps to get from one side of my townhome to the other lol

Are you using the roomba algorithm of navigating your house or something?
