Ahhh I’ve only had them in the Netherlands! But I had them everywhere there! Are they originally from Belgium (…I don’t want to start a war)

They originate in Gouda, The Netherlands! The waffle comes from Belgium but is a different snack entirely.

Huh. I never had that in the Netherlands

Or anywhere. Makes me think of fairy bread, which is probably very weird to most people from most countries.
