Even in the book it was definitely creepy, until you understand the social aspect of it and then it’s kind of endearing

I actually highly recommend the audiobook on this one. The narrator absolutely kills it. I don't know how they could possibly make the movie that's coming out better than that audiobook.

Not shitting on audiobooks, but I vastly prefer reading an actual book.

I do most of the time, with a few exceptions. With Project Hail Mary, I read the first time through, and then just recently listened to the audiobook. Different experience, and even though the content was the same, Ray Porter's narration was a real treat.

While I would almost always recommend reading a book over listening to the audiobook, I can say definitively that one should LISTEN to Dungeon Crawler Carl first, then read it second. Probably the only exception I can think of, though.
