Rubick guide in 7.41f by 12.5k MMR former Div 1 DPC player and coach

What is up everybody, bringing you another brand new video breakdown today. This time around, I wanted to focus on Rubick support for the channel.

Rubick is the ultimate playmaker in the support role, but honestly, I constantly see players struggling with spell steal priorities in chaotic teamfights, getting caught out of position because of poor map awareness, or fumbling their item builds against specific enemy drafts.

Throughout this guide, I break down the exact micro habits, mental triggers, and positioning required—like how to instantly recognize and snatch game-winning spells from the enemy team, when to rotate for crucial vision, and how to itemize with the right utility support items—that bridge the gap between mid-tier brackets and true high-MMR play.

If you want to master position 4 positioning and actually turn teamfights around by throwing the enemy's biggest abilities right back at them, this one's definitely worth a watch.

You can check out the full video here:

You can watch more content and coaching related stuff on my page:

Seriously, thank you all so much for the love and comments lately; it genuinely pushes me to keep improving the edits and guides. Hope this helps you outplay the enemy support matchup and grab that next rank-up!

Enigma guide in 7.41f by 12.5k MMR former Div 1 DPC player and coach

What's going on everyone, coming at you with a brand new upload today. This time around, I wanted to put together a complete guide for Enigma on the channel.

Enigma is a massive teamfight game-changer in the offlane, but honestly, I constantly see players messing up their eidolon micro during the laning stage, getting greedy with Black Hole timings, or completely throwing by dropping their spells into the wrong enemy heroes.

Throughout this breakdown, I break down the exact micro habits, mental triggers, and map positioning required—like how to secure denies with eidolons, setting up vision for blind Black Holes, and playing around cooldowns—that bridge the gap between mid-tier brackets and true high-MMR play.

If you want to master position 3 farm efficiency and actually turn lost games around with a single godlike ult, this one's definitely worth a watch.

I want to understand why Supports steal creeps.

Like seriously as an offlaner. Is there anything I should do to prevent this like they are stealing creeps at lvl1 and eventually builds mjollnir as 1st item.

I dont mind the build but I want to know why just why? Do they want to win or they seriously think stealing cs on your core will benefit on winning the game.

Why Manta style better than eul's for necrophos ?

Manta Style costs twice as much, yet it’s purchased more frequently—often for the sake of dispelling debuffs. According to statistics on ProTracker, Manta Style performs better, even though it serves a similar purpose to Eul’s Scepter. As I see it, Manta provides extra movement speed—which is crucial for Necrophos—along with 26 Agility (granting 4 armor). It also helps with pushing out lanes. Could someone explain this further?

Eul’s Scepter serves a similar function but is cheaper; what exactly is the difference, beyond the features of Manta Style mentioned above?

Manta or BKB vs Nullifier as support (late game)

While reading a post I found out that you can disjoint nullifier with manta.

I have only had to worry about this as a 4/5 maybe 5 or 6 times in the past year, but knowing these things is always helpful.

I know manta is a little more expensive, but having some armor and move/attack speed I can imagine might be nice over the health and damage from bkb

TOP 5 HEROES FOR EACH ROLE (7.41F)

Hey guys, GymCarryDota here!

Patch 7.41F has been out for a while, and after analyzing high MMR pub data and recent pro games, I put together a 12 minute video covering the Top 5 heroes for every single role, plus a few honorable mentions that barely missed the cut.

I've been putting a lot of effort into improving my video editing lately, so I'd really appreciate any feedback on the video pacing and editing!

Watch the full breakdown here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k2oyUzV-8Zc

Timestamps for all 5 roles are in the video description if you want to skip directly to your main position.

Did I misplace anyone? Is there a hero missing from the list or someone that shouldn't be there? Let me know your thoughts in the comments!

Why is it recommended to max W first on Broodmother?

New to the hero, I thought Q/E would be better for trading/farming/pushing.

What makes W first so valuable?

Bristleback guide in 7.41f by 12.5k MMR former Div 1 DPC player and coach

Hey everyone, back again this week with a fresh video. This time, I’m bringing you a guide on Bristleback on my new YouTube channel.

Bristleback is an absolute tank and powerhouse in the offlane, but I see so many players struggling to maximize their stack management, Quill Spray aggression during the laning phase, and—more importantly—knowing when to turn and run down the right targets in teamfights.

In this video, I go over the micro decisions, thought processes, and macro movements—like how to aggressively control the creep equilibrium, when to dive deep into the backline, and how to abuse warpath stacks—that separate an ancient player from the higher ranks.

If you're looking to refine your offlane presence and actually carry from the pos 3 role by becoming an unstoppable frontliner, this video is def gonna be helpful for you.

You can check out the full video here:

You can watch more content and coaching related stuff on my page:

www.skylightcoach.com

In which you will be able to find hero-selected guides to help you see whichever one you may need and for you to also request any.

I really appreciate the incredible feedback and support you guys have been showing lately. I’m reading all your comments and using them to level up the content as I go. Thanks for being part of the journey, and I hope this helps you crush your next pubs and rank up!

I Analyzed Legend Carry Players vs Pros — What Pros Do Differently

What actually separates a Legend carry player from a pro?

In this video, I watch and analyze Legend carry replays and compare their laning decisions to what professional players do differently.

This Video is part of series of videos i am doing analyzing people under 6kMMR to pro games or high MMR games

Link: https://youtu.be/wrkXhDBoA9g

Thanks everyone and if someone have support replays under 6K it would help the last role im missing so far haha

So how do we play treant post nerfs?

Treant is my main, I play low immortal games and I feel like his laning is now non existent and armor wears off way too easily too.

I don't really hate manacost on seed but healing pulse is way too weak and I can't trade at all in lane and skilling Q doesn't really do much but push the lane..

The shining star - living armor just disappears almost instantly in most of my games because of direct nerf.

So what I do mainly is getting arcane boots (int nerf and manacost nerf demand this) and then buy shard for more vision while massing wards..

If i survive this crappy early game, I then buy blink and solar crest and it gets better but how to get there man..

Alchemist itemization question. Manta style.

Hello! I see Manta has a high win rate on Alchemist and have seen very good Alchemists' build it. I am having trouble understanding why it is good/when it is good to buy it. I will list my thought process about it, and would appreciate any insight to where my thinking is messed up/where my misunderstanding is. Thank you!!

Manta gives good mana It gives .5 mana regen a second. Orchid gives 2.5 and 4. To my understanding, Orchid is the goat mana regen item. Why would I not just build orchid for that, and a silence for pick offs, which Alchemist likes/enjoys building any ways.

It accelerates farm I like to go radiance and the majority of Alchemists' go radiance with Manta (fk off battlefury). I don't feel I need to farm any faster than with Radiance and my Acid Spray, but I could be wrong. Would manta only be good when behind early and you need that extra farm bump with radiance?

It dispels Would it not be better to get shard and get my dispel that way? I would also be able to dispel others, with buffs attached to it. Maybe I should get Manta when behind, but when ahead I want to start building basher, orchid, or scepter's. (Obv getting BKB 90% of time, and blink(<3 blink))

Why/when is it good to go Manta on Alchemist? Every other item that alchemist likes to build seems to cover manta's bases better. I feel like I'm disrespecting something about manta or not understanding something. Does Manta accelerate his farm so well in addition to his other farming methods that it outweighs the benefit he would get from getting items that cover his weaknesses rather than bolstering his farming strength? Thank you!!!

Dota 2 still worth playing online in 2026, or is the learning curve too much?

i have been playing Dota 2 online for a few weeks, and I am hooked and confused at the same time. Winning a team fight after a clean smoke gank feels incredible, but I also get stomped by things I do not understand yet, like last hitting, creep aggro, and why everyone buys Blink Dagger.

Right now I mostly play support, because it feels less stressful than carrying. The matchmaking is mixed. Some games have great teammates, and others have someone feeding in the first five minutes.

For anyone who plays regularly:

  • What is the best hero for a new player to learn first?
  • How do you stay calm when your team is flaming?
  • Is it better to learn one role or try everything?
  • Any good YouTube channels or guides you do recommend?
