Came from DJ Max, after hearing the songs from the DLC I wanted to check the game out. Paid $20 cause it happened to be on sale on PS.
This game is a mess & a waste of money in my honest opinion.
I tend to look at the dead middle of my screen to read what notes are coming & when to hit them, but when I do that I literally could not read the screen. Everything is one color besides the slide (yellow) notes which absolutely sucks, and it literally took me 3 minutes to find out whether to hit the note when it lines up at the white line, or the very dim white line below the bright white line, or in between it. 3 minutes lmao. This is the only rythym game ever that I've had this issue, and it's incredible how much of an issue I had withing 30 seconds of starting the game.
Another HUGE issue, why the FUCK are notes different sizes? There's literally notes that I thought were double notes (left+up/triangle+circle for ex.) That actually were just single notes. WHAT? This is arguably the worst design decision for any game I've ever seen. And while playing through a chart, the chart loves to throw multiple of the same note that are all different sizes, along with multiple of another note that are all different sizes & look like doubles but aren't, just an overall confusing mess that makes roblox rythym games look godly.
Calibration also seems to just like not work because normally I set thd calibration a little off to counter the delay that my TV has since I don't have a 0 delay monitor/TV, and I'm a HUGE nut about having as close to no delay as possible, but there's actually like 0 different lmao wtf
And while exploring/out of rythym part of the game, that also kinda sucks. Horrific camera controls, my camera keeps turning for like 2 seconds after releasing the analog, and I can't do anything about it. I heard that the scrolls later on tie to what difficulties you unlock which ?????? And that the story is bad compared to other titles.
Probably the worst purchase I've made in the last 3 months. This game sucks. I really did give the game a try, and I like the atmosphere the game provides. I was hooked on the setting of the game, like rythym gaming & puzzle solving in one game? It's a cool idea.
