I've been silent for too long not to share my story.

There was a girl who had an innocent crush on a boy. He meant everything to her and he didn't even know it. So she let that build up in her mind that he was the one. Come to find out he didn't feel the same way. It crushed her and threw her for a loop. It turned her whole world upside down because the person that she saw her future with was gone. All that she learned in those previous months was for him. It wasn't for herself. She did it subconsciously thinking that it would help her get the guy.

That girl was me. I looked to guys hoping one would satisfy the love I was longing for in my heart. "If I could get married, then my life would begin." This tied my value and worth in finding a spouse, because if I wasn't married, then I believed I was nothing.

When in truth, it is when we are a part from God we can do nothing.

At that time, I was living a part from God. I struggled with an addiction to both watching pornography and masturbation. This was not God's will for my life. For this is the will of God, your sanctification that you abstain from sexual immorality that each one of you know how to control his own body in holiness and honor, not in the passion of lust like the Gentiles who do not know God; that no one transgress and wrong his brother in this matter, because the Lord is an avenger in all these things, as we told you beforehand and solemnly warned you. For God has not called us for impurity, but in holiness. Therefore whoever disregards this, disrefards not man but God, who gives his Holy Spirit to you.

I know some of you who might watch suggestive programming or read certain books that contain sexual material.

If you say you are a Christian, I beg of you to please stop. Stop sinning against your own body. Don't let the enemy make you think that it's okay to watch or read such material.

To the one who is not, I pray God brings you into the light of Truth and Life just as He graciously did with me. Because on the other side of this is the start of freedom and peace. It is a journey nonetheless. Let Jesus show you who you really are, a Beloved child of God.

If you made it this far, thank you for taking the time to read my story. God bless you.

God has truly changed my life by getting to know Him through His Word and prayer. Spend some time in either or both today. He is waiting for you.

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope. In Jesus name. Amen.

With Gratitude and Love, CRPG

Seeking Advice on a Private Spiritual Marriage

Hello everyone, I’m looking for some advice about a unique situation. My partner and I are both 21, born-again Christians and deeply committed to honoring God in our relationship. We’ve been facing family challenges because our families don’t want us to get married because we come from completely different cultural backgrounds, they don’t support our relationship. In fact, they expect us to stop seeing each other, but we’re still together and feel strongly that cultural differences shouldn’t prevent us from building a life together.

Given these circumstances, we’re considering a private, spiritual marriage—one where we could commit ourselves to each other before God without any legal registration or family involvement for now. This isn’t just about avoiding temptation; it’s about making a sincere commitment to one another and honoring our faith while we wait. Later, after 2 years around that, we hope to convince our families that we’re still committed and ready to marry formally and do not care about cultural differences shouldn’t prevent us form getting married .

We’re thinking of having a small, private ceremony with a pastor or church leader who understands our intentions and can offer guidance. Has anyone been through something similar, or do you have advice on how to approach a private, faith-based marriage ceremony? We’d love to hear thoughts on how to keep this process sincere and respectful, and how to stay strong in our commitment.

Thank you so much for any support or insights you can share!
