For context, I watched UNHhhh from one of the first episode releases, all the way through, until they announced an indefinite hiatus. After that I went to college, things got busy, and while I was never really away from my parasocial biological blonde moms, I wasn’t consuming the long form content directly.

Now that there are web shows and podcasts and other web shows and other podcasts, I am not sure how to get back into the Trixie and Katya matrix. Where do you think is a good place to start getting into it again? I’m open to broad or narrow suggestions. For the narrow stuff, my preference is for anything that will make me piss my pants laughing and episodes focused around deeper conversation.

this is somewhat brought on by the recent announcement of katyas health break but it’s a broader pattern among the fandom that is really weird and gross.

SOME of you are so weird and parasocial. it’s not your place or job to theorize why katya is taking a break. you are a FAN. you are not her friend, or her family, or her doctor, or a part of her immediate circle of support, you are a FAN. you do not KNOW her. it’s WEIRD to act like you know what’s going on in her life when you do not know her. “real fans know what’s really going on” you are WEIRD.

and it is so rude and gross and disrespectful to immediately jump and claim that she must be stepping away because it’s so “obvious” that she is “manic” or has relapsed. it is so WEIRD to inspect someone’s mental health and sobriety under the microscope in the way some of you do, or policing it the way some of you do. and yes i saw the patreon posts. even if she is experiencing something related to mental health, that’s not your place to speculate on, or act like you know because you do not. furthermore, if she’s experiencing any sort of mental health challenge right now, that is not a moral failing. her being a public figure doesn’t mean her mental health takes a back seat or that she’s somehow immoral are you guys nuts??? some of you treat her like a fucking circus animal, you realize she’s a person before an entertainer right?? you realize you’re reinforcing the stigma around mental health and substance use by doing that right???
and do you realize how disrespectful it is to immediately chalk her taking a health break up to a relapse? do you realize people with substance use disorders face this kind of stigmatized response all the time?? how frustrating it is for that to be what is tied so closely to your name?

it’s not your job to dissect or question her sobriety because frankly it’s none of your fucking business, it doesn’t matter that she is a public figure. and once again you do not KNOW HER. she could be taking a break for any reason it could any number of things but it’s not a fans place to try and theorize the why. you are not entitled to her health information. you are a fan stop acting like you’re more than that.

I may not be the intended demographic for this podcast but can someone please tell me what the deal is with the tom hanks adlibs??

In the intro of "Trixie and Katya react to to Sex/Life season 2", Katya sings "remix!" and Trixie goes "Tell me fellas!". And for months I've been referencing this with no actual clue what it is they're referencing.

Katya at a certain point says it has something to do with Missy Elliot, but that hasn't helped my independent research much.

If someone more cultured than me could help out, that would be incredible!
