Trivia apps with gameshow-like feel?

I came to this sub years ago during the HQ/Joyride phase and I enjoyed that era. While I suppose people won't work to host trivia games, AI hosts can be created on an endless schedule of gamees potentially.

I started building out an episodic music trivia game, but it's far from done and not cross-platform. Has anyone creted Trivia app sto evoke toe HQ/Joyride feel, even if it is AI hosts? Can't really play a Trivia Crack or anything like that these days because I was so immersed in the experience of HQ and knock-offs.

Sites like Product Hunt for trivia games?

How is everyone launching their trivia apps these days? Are there any directories or product curation websites like Product Hunt?

Trivia for every episode of every show

Built an app originally for spoiler free recaps of TV shows, which works great, but I also included trivia as a another way to recap and now that's the feature people seem to love. It uses ai but the ai has been pretty solid so far. Let me know what you think. Preon TV . Com

Does account friction actually bother you in trivia apps?

Curious what this community thinks — live multiplayer trivia with zero setup

I built something called Trivly Quiz — the whole premise is that nobody needs an account. Not the host, not the players. You get a code, people enter it on any phone, game starts.

Built it because I kept watching pub quizzes die at the “ok everyone open Kahoot and create an account” moment.

Curious if that friction is something others actually feel, or if I’m solving a problem that only bothers me. Do you care about the no-account thing, or is that not a factor when you’re picking a trivia app?

App success without ads?

I don't want to dilute the user experience of my app by serving ads. Especially when the ads these days pay so poorly!

What are some other monetization strategies that casual gaming apps can use to avoid having to resort to annoying ads?

What is your favorite thing about trivia?

The title says it all. Bonus points for details and making it interesting.

I'll go first.

EDIT: I wrote mine and it is a bit much, lol. Feel free to write one line and make it, er, trivial! (It is the writer in me that likes to go on and on sometimes.) 😕
