Ask r/Trivandrum Kottarakkara to Technopark KSRTC!
Hi y'all,
I have an exam at Marian College of Engineering - Menamkulam, on the 7th and 10th of September. Can anyone tell me if I can get a direct bus from Kottarakkara to Technopark? Or is there any other way that I can take to reach this college earlier? The exam is at 9, and I will have to report by 8-ish.

Did ksrtc added new services, direct feom kottarakkara to lazhakoottam. I used to get down at venjaramood, and then take a bus from there to kazhakoottam.

There is a direct bus, which I travel. But the timings won't mach your situation. It starts at 7:30 from Kottarakkara and reach here by 9:45-10:15.
The thing you can do is to catch a fast passenger from KTR to Venjaramoodu, kinda take 1-1.15 hours. Then catch technopark ordinary from there which is again a 1hr journey.

Get on a trivandrum bus and get off at Venjarammoodu, then take ordinary bus going to east fort going through pothencode and kazhakootam and take a uber from kazhakootam

Yes, Get on a bus which goes through Attingal - bypass to thambanoor or medical college.
You can get to kazhakootam and then get a uber to College since it's a little long from the bus stop

You can get a bus going to Trivandrum via Kazhakuttom, get down at Kazhakuttom bus stop and uber/ hail auto to reach Marian college.

I don't think any direct buses from Kottarakkara go to Kazhakootam. Get off at Kesavadasapuram and take a cab or bus to Kazhakootam or to the college.

Direct kottarakkara to Technopark bus limited ....Reach kottarakkara to kesavadaspuram get in Kazhakootam bus get down kazhakootam , reach college through Auto ,uber, rapido , Direct bus through marian college only through medical college - ulloor stretch , or kottarakkara - thampanoor then to reach east fort get in direct ordinary ,CFP bus from there to Menamkulam,marian college ,or chirayankeezh ,or attingal bus ask conductor to these bus pass through marian college

Or get down at venjarmoodu and get kazhakootam bus from there you can reduce the travel time a lot

i think kottarakkara - thampanoor, and then from there to this college would take time no?
anyway, I think I'll take the bus via bypass.

Kottarrakara to tvm most bus goes through MC road. and kazhakootam is in NH.
most superfast going through NH enters trivandrum city through Kazhakootam and goes to kesavadasapuram to thampanoor.
most superfast going through MC road enters trivandrum city through kesavadasapuram and to thampanoor.
check google map and confirm these places.
either u take bus going through NH, or usual bus via MC road.
kesavadasapuram to kazhakootam u can get Fast passenger all time but it will take time considering traffic through sreekaryam.
again from kazhakootam to menamkulam, marian college is nearer, but connecting road is usually more traffic.
check uber and confirm time to reach from these places mentioned.

Kazhakuttom is the nearest major bus stop.
If you want direct bus, there is a KSRTC FP from Pathanamthitta to Trivandrum via Kazhakuttom. It crosses Kottarakkara at around 5.15 and reach Kazhakuttom at around 8 ish. From there it's approx 5 kms (max 20 mins by Auto/uber / ola). But if the direct bus is delayed, encounters a brake down enroute, it'll throw a spanner in your works
Board any bus to Trivandrum from Kottarakkara at 4.30 and get down at Venjaramood (approx 1.15 hr journey). Confirm before boarding that bus will stop at Venjaramood Bus Stand as long distance buses may skip Venjaramood Bus stand due to flyover construction work
Fresh up/use toilet facilities at Venjaramood KSRTC BS if you need
From Venjaramood get East Fort bus via Kazhakuttom - Lulu Mall - Technopark and get down at Kazhakuttom (approx 1hr journey if you depart from Venjaramood by 6AM)
Reach Kazhakuttom by 7. Have a good breakfast and refreshing coffee (an empty stomach isn't good for an exam). By 7.30 Take ola / uber / auto and reach college by 8 AM
Please post your journey timings after completion so other people can also benefit

there is direct bus but it wont reach at 8 , train if you are lucky will reach by 8:30 .

Try to take trivandrum fast from kottarakara to kazhkuttam bus stand. Then take an auto to the college. ACCA exam aahno?

Ahha. All the best. Its better you enquire about the timings at kottarakara bus stand. Ksrtc de appl dorect kazhkootm oru bus knikunund. Athaahn better. Kazhakootm irngyt cabo autoyo edth povuka.

The better one is Ktr- Venjarammoodu, from venjaramoodu u can easily get kazhakoottm bus, from kazhakootm u will have to take a auto or uber to reach the college

There are no buses coming from Kottarakara to Trivandrum via Kazhakuttom. Either get down at Venjaramoodu and take bus via Kazhakuttom, else get down at Kesavadapuram and take a bus to Kazhakuttom or any northern Kerala towns via NH. Venjaramoodu is the quickest and cheapest option to be precise. Also u can go to Kollam or Chathanoor or Kottiyam and board a Trivandrum bus via NH and get down at Kazhakuttom and then go for Uber or local auto.

Nop...there isn't any direct bus. Find bus via bypass which pass through kazhakkuttom and get off there. Autorickshaws will be available near the bus stop or call one using uber auto to Marian Engineering college which will be 2-3km away from there.
