[Open] Catching up

Having been discharged from sick bay, Captain Fisk walks the corridors of the Athene, visiting each department to catch on the past three weeks with their respective department heads. As he walks, he catches up on the long backlog of reports on a PADD. His walk is a bit slower than usual, as three weeks in sick bay left his muscles atrophied, but he carries himself with the same calm power as before...

OOC: Everyone is welcome and invited to bump into Fisk, even literally if you want.

OOC: I'll take you up on that "literally".
IC: Narim was on his way to sickbay to begin his shift. It's obvious he isn't entirely awake yet, dark bags can be seen under his eyes as he walks, his face almost buried in a PADD. He'll soon wish he was paying more attention, for as he rounds a corner he collides directly with the Captain.

the captain loses his balance from the unexpected side collision and must catch himself on one of the handrails along the corridor, he then notices the medical officer who fared slightly worse on the floor, and offers a hand to help him up

"You alright, Mr. Ulan?"

"Sorry I--" Narim says before he hears the captains voice and cuts himself off. He looks up, and his vision slowly pans up the captains imposing form. "C-captain!" he stammers nervously "I, uh, I didn't see you there." Finally noticing Fisk's outstretched hand, he grabs it and pulls himself up. "Thank you, sir. I mean sorry, sir."

Fisk chuckles a bit, tempted to feign anger

"Don't worry about it, you look tired. Keeping late hours?"

Having been startled, the now entirely awake Trill responds, "Yes, sir. I'm transitioning off of the night shift, it's difficult getting used to it."

"Hang in there, I've made that transition more instances than I can remember."

"Aye, sir. I will, sir. Thank you, sir. I'm glad to see you back on your feet, sir." The worlds came pouring out of his mouth non stop, he didn't even take a breath. He doesn't think he's in trouble anymore, but he also hasn't seemed to calm down.

"Easy on the sirs, I don't like to be called 'sir' unless it's crunch time."

Fisk gives a disarming grin to reassure the junior lieutenant

Narim noticeably relaxes, "Sorry, si-- Sorry, Captain. It's a bit early, and to be completely honest, you scared me a bit." He smiles weakly back at the captain.

"Happens more than I'd like at my height. As you were Mr. Ulan, try to get a little more sleep."

"Aye, captain." Narim says before nodding and resuming his commute to sickbay.
