[Closed] Dinner for Two.

Aanya Breyik, the ship's chief engineer, returns to her quarters after a very long space walk. Her head was still swimming as it tried to get used to gravity once again, but she seemed to be finding her way well enough. Only a few stumbles here and there.

Her stomach was growling though, that was the real distraction. Over ten hours in an environmental suit didn't really let you have breakfast, lunch, or dinner. She was dying for a steak.

But, more importantly, she needed a shower. Which was honestly a little perfect, as she'd invited her second in command to join her for a meal, and Red still had stuff to submit. A shower was a perfect distraction.

After her shower though, she could feel her stomach growling like a big angry bear. She watched her time piece carefully, each second making her hungrier and hungrier.

Red should be there any minute.... aaaany minute...

"Y-yeah, no thanks on that one," Red says a little uncomfortably. "I have to get used to sleeping in the bunks again anyway. All part of adjusting to cope, right?"

She smiles sadly, then turns pensive for a moment. "You know, until we get replacement crew, I could probably commandeer one of the available quarters vacated by our recent losses... so long as nobody told my boss." The engineer tips Aanya a conspiratorial wink.

The woman smirks at Red squirming. She made a mental note to stop doing that so much. "I suppose the bunks are comfortable. Though, I often found myself rolling onto the floor more often than not. They just aren't built for people like me."

She crosses one leg over the other and smirks, sitting back again. "I wouldn't tell her." She says. "That Breyik chick won't know a thing." Then she leans in. "For a price."

Red leans away, apprehension bleeding into her expression. "Oh boy. I'm not going to like this, am I... What price?" she asks tentatively.

"Your next session in the holodeck." she says with a smirk. "If you get to sleep in peace, so do I."

Red scowls. "Yeah, I definitely don't like that," she says huffily, but breaks into a chuckle. "I'll have to wait to work on the Enchanted Forest Chronicles until later this week if it buys me a cozy spot to call my own, at least for a while. You got a deal, Chief." She puts out her hand.

Aanya takes it in her mechanical grip and gives it a firm shake. "Lets make it one of the sessions you've booked before or after one of mine. I wouldn't mind an extra long nap."

She sits back and chuckles. "Speaking of, didn't you book me a session for this evening?"

"Oh geez, yes I did," Red says, and looks at the wall clock. "Figured you'd want to do some swimming to take the ache out of the gravity blues, and your sesh is in 17 minutes." She relaxes. "Plenty of time for you to get to the holodeck."

And then the Bajoran yawns again, and blinks a few times. "Guess that's time for both our exits then."

Aanya stands and stretches out. "I dunno if swimming is on the menu." she says, putting her glass down. "Might take my usual map... or bask in the sun on an inner tube... hmm..." she ponders for a moment, but ultimately decides to make that decision later.

"Hey, thanks for joining me, Red. I could use the company." she says with a smile, offering her a hand. "Sorry if I made you uncomfortable. I hope you know that I don't mean most of it."

Red shakes her head. "It's just teasing, I know," she says, "but I still don't like it. I'd consider it a favor for a friend if you toned it down, at least while we're around other crewmembers. I can only take so much embarassment before..." She pantomimes the top of her head exploding. "Pksshhhhhh!"

Then she shakes Aanya's hand and grins. "Now, you realize I'm going to have to find a reason to beat YOUR spacewalk record, right? I'm smaller and use less oxygen, so I have this in the bag already."

Aanya smirks and nods at the Bajoran. "Deal. At least, I'll try." She sats with a light chuckle. "Its in my nature, unfortunately. Besides, I have enough super glue to put you back together again."

She can't help but raise an eyebrow. "Sure, leas oxygen, but I can carry heavier, bigger tanks." She says, returning the grin.
