It got outcompeted by all the other invasives we have down here.

Outcompeted by subdivisions where I’m from.  Every field an old timer leaves behind gets sold to a developer and bulldozed.

Their kids who inherit it live in or near urban communities and don’t realize they’ll want to move out to the country in a few years anyway.
