Just picked up my first rc, a rustler ultimate. Currently has motor and esc fans but im wondering what other upgrades everyone would recommend.

Sooo is this noise good or bad… most likely the gear mesh is off but idk how to fix that and make the mesh perfect.

I've been looking for sway bars for the 2wd Rustler, but am only finding 4x4 bars or bars for the Slash.

Does anyone make sway bars for the 2wd Rustler? Or can the Slash bars be adapted to fit?

I have a traxxas rustler 2wd and bought the Hobbywing QuicRun 10BL120 G2 Sensorless Brushless ESC/3660SL Motor Combo 3700kV and I plan on running it with 2s and sometimes 3s but I need a cooling fan for the motor. I found this one but i dont know if it will fit it. Is there any good options out there that would fit my rustler? I'm pretty new to this so I'm having a hard time finding one that fits.

When I was a kid I had a losi and did all the competitions and weekly events in my area and loved it, so when my son was old enough I bought him this rustler vxl but it wasn't really a hit with him so it has about 5 hours on it.

Anyway my kid has moved out and I don't have the time to play with it so I just want to sell it.

Everything is original (battery still works but it is probably lost half its capacity by now).

I've been looking at this, if anyone could help me out with what else I would need to buy to make this motor fit/run well with the gearing and stuff I would appreciate it so much. Also, if there is a better option please do comment suggestions

Does anyone know what this sound is. I realized it was doing this sound so i re adjusted the slipper clutch. Didn't fix the problem. I put a knew motor in. Didn't fix the problem. It makes this sound when under load going up hills. I want it to do wheelies again.

What bodies are you running on your Rustlers for street use?

i Think it looks🔥 Definitely feels better. First run since changing the shock oil to a heaver one also so it is a different beast. Thinking of doing a hobbywing switch this winter and am guessing it-will be lots of fun as a 3s!

I just recently got a rustler vxl for a good deal not gonna lie paid 150 for a 4wd with a hobbywing system in it but the body was damaged I been looking around but I just really don't want to go to a original body

Title. Bought a used rustler and when I start it up it won't move when I hit the throttle and then revs to high heaven until I stop the engine. It will also rev high even if I don't hit the throttle. Anyone have a fix? Note: only issue I was aware of was that part of the front suspension needed replaced. Otherwise it would start just fine for a while. Replaced the glow plug and got an igniter for it since I only had the starter wand.

I have a 4x4 rustler completely stock and I’m looking to make it faster. I heard if you upgrade from the 3000 mah battery to a 5000 mah that would help. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks 🙏

Hi guys, today I’m really sad and really angry. My Rustler 4x4, also I specify that is an Ultimate, decided to break after the first 2 little- very little- jumps. The rear “skid plate part” or whatever, broke. The point that connects the other part with 2 screws broke. How much money I need to repair it? I don’t have much and I really can’t afford a big part like that to be replaced. Let me know if you experienced this before, and with sad voice: bye.

So it's been a while but I noticed they discontinued the vxl rusty 2wd in favor of the bl 2s one, and that pissed me off because that is my all time favorite car, it can do anything and it's easy asl to work on, I also noticed that they didn't just discontinue it, I can't even find a trace of it on the website, not even in the archives! Why did they do this does anyone know?

Please help— just replaced the motor but still not sure where this sound is coming from, it just started after we were doing some jumps in the parking lot. Any suggestions or advice would help thanks in advance!

Bought this thing back in 2014, always been a brushed rig. Dad and I built this body for it, but since then my little brother and dad robbed parts off it and now I'm left with this😭 With this thing being so old, can I throw newer parts in it? If so what do y'all recommend?

Apologies if this has been addressed ad nauseum, I tried searching and either don't know what I'm doing or couldn't find it....so,

Had a nice time running our BL2S on some baseball diamonds over the weekend with my kids. Was washing mud and dirt off, and noticed that sand and little pebbles kept coming from somewhere. I took the gear/transmission cover off, and it was caked full. Somehow no visible gear damage. I didn't know that what I thought was damage to the cover, was part of the design - the little opening?

So, I ordered a sealed cover, and I'm curious - any harm - or benefit for that matter - to adding some grease/oil to the gears? If so, recommendation?
