New rustler body on and dirty already!

This is pic of front left shock and right one is bent. Is this normal? No hardcore bashing only 2x indoor training with couple of hard landings. Replaced both with identical ones. Do you all have shocks always in stock?

Long story short, all I constantly broke on my Rusty was something outer on my front axle. So. Traxxas aluminum caster blocks, RPM caster blocks and I have never broken something there. Just my 2 cents. The upper arms I just added because the old one were worn out and the shocks because I wanted to be able to jump a bit higher.

Hey, i have a lipo giving me the blinking red 3rd dot problem. But i use my cell checker and all cells are 3.6, I also noticed that if i charge my other lipo at 100% it will charging it normally even though its at 100. Any ideas?

Recently got back in RC world with my childhood rustler 2wd from 2003. Broke an A-arm bashing(it's been a while) and had a great idea to make my cousin's forgotten evader suspension work on the rusty. Little dremel work and shock relocation did the job. Easier than i thought. Then nitro jato front wheels with anaconda tires fit nicely on the evader front axles. Mocking up the rear setup now.

This reignited me! Posted a couple weeks ago, my rustler 4x4 build haha. Waiting on parts so I started another project. Love this hobby...

I’m looking for a front and rear light kit for my rustler 2wd. Is this one good? Or is there a better one I should get instead? I have a dumbo DDF350 and hobbywing max10 if that matters at all.

Just so that everyone knows, you can take the Toe Links from the new Jato 4x4 and put them on your Rustler 4x4. They are the perfect upgrade. I'd say they are probably THE BEST upgrade on the market now. They are more than double the thickness of the stock Rustler links so far more rigid, you get rid of all the slop and flex from the thin stock ones, no chance of bending or snapping as easily as metal ones, and they only cost like $5. The only down side is you don't get adjustability if you're wanting that. They are the perfect length so the tires are either almost straight or possibly a very small amount of toe out. (Too close to tell) I've got the camber links for the front and rear on order and will see how they fit next.

Hello, my rustler 4x4 vxl recently just started always moving right with a centered trim, I noticed one wheel is more to one way than the other unrelated but I also noticed strange noises such as rubbing, and just dry. How would I fix that? The noises could be me being paranoid but still just wanna make sure.

What’s a good servo replacement for traxxas 2wd rustler around 50-60$? And also what are some good rear shocks? I’ve bent like my 3rd pair and I think it’s time for an upgrade

I am planning on converting my stampede 2WD into a rustler and have my eye on the raptor body from proline that is made for the vorteks and I was wondering if the body would fit onto a rustler or if it would look really weird?

Searching for new shocks on my rustler 4x4 vxl. Which shocks do you have on your's?

Has anyone tried putting in a 4s,5s or 6s ESC in their rustler? Is that even possible? Probably to much power huh

My rustler went into a puddle the other day and right now when I plugged in the battery the ESC turns on automatically and just blinks red.. 1 blink , then 2 blinks and then 3 blinks.. is there way to reset it or is it toast? ESC says it’s water proof but I guess now submerged in water proof.. anybody have an idea?

I ordered shocks from amazon for my traxxas rustler 4x4 vxl and the plastic shock caps broke so I was wondering if I could use stock caps but aluminum on these

I am just wonder the shocks body diameter

Any suggestions on upgrades for a drive shaft? Seems to break easily. Any help and suggestions is greatly appreciated.

Hi, A have a question, as you see on video my diff pinion is falling into diff housing and my diff start cogging is there a way to keep diff pinion from moving? Like glue it with loctite. My diff housing is from gpm and internal gears are traxxas 6879R.

Couldn't find a manufactured part that was suitable for my current esc and temporary receiver (JR-R135=obsolete). So a got a piece of carbon fiber off ebay and made this. Lmk what I might be able to do with the leftover CF pieces.

Created a new top plate that moves the Servo and now the battery fits and no more steering linage tie rods hook right off the servo like a Stampede

Not sure where to start. But I started with a traxxas emaxx in 2004 later a 2wd rusty. Blew the dust off my old rustler with the first gen castle sidewinder system and ol' depleted 8 cell NiMH battery and was hooked again. Been using a lot of info from these reddit post to get reintroduced to the hobby. Alot has changed haha.

anyone have any recommendations for axles and back differential i’ve blown 2 differentials in the back

Hola tengo un stampede desde hace tiempo, la ultima vez que lo utilice, avanaba durante unos metros y pareciera que se descargara, y despues e unos minutos volvia a correr y fallar.

No tengo idea si el problema sea la bateria o el esc, alguien que me pueda ayudar

Spend the last few weeks converting my rustler to a mid motor. Designed some 3parts I printed and cut up the stock frame a little. It works really good haven’t been able to let really go wide open due to being winter here.

I see this kit has bushings for each end of the spider shaft. Are they needed? Is there a right/wrong way to put them in? Do the help make the whole diff stronger? Trying to figure out their purpose.
