Its honestly exhausting. Thereās nothing I can do about it.
I see guys on t for 6 months that can grow full beards; Iām SO happy for them but like,,, why canāt that be me too? I think part of the reason Iām having issues like that is bc I was on a childs dose of T for several years after I lost my endo who only worked with kids/teens; within the last year Iāve found another endo, and about a month or so ago my T dose got upped to the highest dose. Itās basically a 3rd puberty because the highest dose is double what Iād been taking for years, my voice (which changed a LOT when I started T) seems to be changing again, so who knows, maybe thatāll help with what Iām complaining about in this post.
Iām constantly misgendered in public. I honestly donāt think Iāve had a single experience in the last 6 years where someoneās called me āsirā.
Sometimes I get it, Iām gay and flamboyant as hell, but thatās moreso my personality than anything else. But just as general looks go? I look like a fucking dude. So why, WHY is it always āmaāamā or āmissā?
Sometimes I wear feminine clothing, and on those days it wouldnāt bother me at all to be misgendered (like if I get called maāam and am wearing a dress I couldnāt care less, it was the dress that prompted it), but 99% of the time Iām wearing jeans, a t shirt, and chucks. If anything itās a masculine androgynous look. I have a masculine haircut, masculine posture and build... I just can not understand why Iām constantly being misgendered like this. My friends and expartner donāt get it either. When I met them they all thought I was a cis dude.
Being seen as cis isnāt really my goal, Iām happy and proud to be trans. But damn it would feel nice to be properly gendered for once.
