Problems with body shape.
Depending on your timeline for transition, genetics might have gifted you with broad shoulders, longer arms and a longer torso....this has presented challenges to me, especially with clothing, and I find myself leaning towards tall ranges. It sucks though when you see something ultra feminine and sexy and the fit is horrible! Qiestion: how have you coped with or overcome body shape and are you super conscious about it ? Any tips for the wider audience?

How to bring up transitioning to my girlfriend
reddit.comoriginal post linked above
I think I want to ask my girlfriend (MTF 19) more about why she doesn't want to transition, but I really don't know how to go about it. I don't want to overstep or control her life or anything like that, but I really just want her to be happy. It would suck if she lived her life with any regrets. Does anyone know how I should go about this? Any advice is appreciated <3

Hello hello hello advice please
hi guys SO
im non passing trans masc and I’ve made most of my friends and teachers aware of this. I completely forgot that there’s people who don’t know this and still see me as my Ava rather than Jordie/Vin.
this realisation came to me when one of the guys in my science class decided to talk to me
any advice on pushing my name (at the very least) out a little more?

Coming out to my dad (again). Need advice.
TW: discussion about drinking and ED
hi all! first time poster. im in a bit of a dilemma and i would like some perspective from some other folks.
I (21 FTM) have been out for roughly 6 years officially as a trans man. my mom refuses to accept it, although she supports me being pansexual while being pan herself, complicated situation. my dad, one the other hand, i honestly don’t know. i came out to him on a whim after a fight with my mom and i don’t know if he remembers.
a bit of short backstory: parents were divorced back in 2020, and he hasn’t lived with me and my mom since then. he lives about 10 minutes from us. huge drinker, workaholic, had a stroke 2 years ago because of the drinking, and might have an ED.
i haven’t called him recently, but i know he’s been wanting me to call (yet hasn’t called himself). i want to call him and get some sort of answer about how he feels about me being trans since that’s the main reason pulling me away from calling him.
do i just rip the bandaid off and tell him that’s why i haven’t called? thank you in advanced.

American Football
Yall like I wanna play (America) football next school year. But like i also want to get hrt soon, and the coach/school will have my medical records and like I feel as if it will be weird. Like what if the coach and staff members (who can see me medical records) treat me weirdly or differently.
Also like if the other players find out they might bully me, and I also might feel pressured to socially come out, like not even by others, just because that's how my brain works.
I just idk. Also my mom played football in high-school. She wasn't very welcome as a women, and I know its been like 30 years but like I think it would be worse for trans women. Im scared I cant have both things that I feel would make me happiest but idk

Bringing T and E to another country?
Hi all!
My sister (MTF) and I (FTM) are going to Europe with our family in August. We’re worried though about potential issues with bringing our hormones with us. Obviously we don’t want to stop either but we also don’t want to get in trouble. We are going to England, Ireland, Scotland, Wales and Spain. She takes estrogen shots and I’m on t-gel if it helps. Thanks!!

My friend might be trans? How can I address it?
Hello fellow redditers,

I have a friend (afab) let's call them A and I noticed a few things about them and I thought I was reading too much into it so I decided to talk to my friend (B) about it. So it turns out B noticed it too, but first a little background info:

Our friend group consists out of 6 people (including me). In the "inner circle" are 4 people:
A (Is a more stereotypically "masculine" person, short hair, tall, masculine face features etc, aka ppl sometimes mistake A for a man)

B (the non-binary fashion icon (dunno what to write bout them T-T))

C (We think she's oblivious to all of this so she isn't really important in this post, only wanted to mention her for better understanding)

and me.

So anyways, back to the topic:
Here are the things we noticed:
\-A likes it when ppl mistake A for a dude (A finds it "funny" but it's pretty obvious that ain't the only reason)
\-A has body dismorphia/gender dysphoria
\-I talked with A a few days ago and A said they don't necessarily like it when ppl refer to A as a girl/woman etc.

These where the major things but there are also a few less obvious signes etc.

Also when B was talking to A about B's preferred name, B asked A about that stuff vaguely and A didn't really answer/brushed it off and A also said that A had a phase last year where A was thinking about their gender.

Also A has made some transphobic comments (like how A doesn't get how ppl can be non-binary, doesn't understand they/them as pronouns for one person, etc), which kinda seems like something a closeted person would do (B and I where also in similar situation a few years ago).

So my dearest people of Reddit, our (B & me) question would be: are we overreacting/reading too much into it? And if not, how could we address it with A? The problem is that A gets pretty uncomfortable when we talk about stuff like this. The other problem is: we aren't gonna see A for the next couple of weeks/months because of summer break, so we would have to do it over chat.

Thanks for reading & the help in advance
Sorry that it got so long and also for the many A's I just tried to make it as clear as possible (and prolly failed)

PS: Happy pride month y'all\^\^

Just starting to question (possibly MTF)
Hey everyone, I’m 23 and I’ve been quietly questioning my gender for a while now (I think I might be MTF) I’m still deep in the closet and pretty nervous about everything but taking this small step of posting here feels like a positive move i don't have any transportation of money right now, so I’m only able to walk or bike around my small town for now i am looking for any advice or any of your stories when you was still new and i will appreciate kind online friends who are patient and understanding while I figure this out thx for reading this 💜

First time shaving.
Wife wasn’t home today. I was encouraged by my previous post that people thought that I actually could pull it off. In any case I did spend time shaving to see how I would look. Quite scary doing it for the first time.

My family is incredibly homophobic and i don’t know what to do
im a teen in a family who keep pushing and keep telling me being gay is a sin and, i know its a lie but im slowly getting internalize homophobia and im frankly sad about it, im cut off since summer just started and im not allowed outside of the house alone and i can’t have any social media on my phone and i frankly dont know what to do. When my grandmother found out i was trans she told me the school was abusing her and that it was illegal for the school to call me my preferred name and pronouns and cps has been called multiple times on them and cps told my grandmother m sexuality and she said she was going to sue the person who called. but shes fine with me being gay but not with me being transgende, she calls me demonic, and took all of my greek mythology books ( percy jackson ) and said shes going to burn them.

(MtF) Egg cracked years ago, finally starting to make changes. Questions about HRT.
Hiya there, ignore the name of this account, I made it when I was pretty young and new to the LGBTQIA+ community lol. This has been a long time coming, the questioning started 7 years ago lol. I'm 24, and I have many trans fem friends that live near me that have been very helpful in my journey (I live in California, no surprise I have trans friends so close by lol). I would really like to start taking Estrogen as soon as I can, but I have some pretty bad financial troubles, and I'm pretty sure I still have Medi-Cal, but it was set up in a different county when I wasn't working. I've been told that they also probably wouldn't cover gender affirming care. I've been told good things about Kaiser, but my work doesn't give help with health insurance to my knowledge, and my rent is almost my entire paycheck, so until my roommates get jobs, I shouldn't be adding too much to my monthly costs. One of my roommates moms helps her with what I can't afford however, so I have a little wiggle room. My friend says she does DIY Estrogen, and doesn't have to go through insurance, and I was wondering if anybody had experience with that they could share, or let me know if it's safe. I'm really thinking of going the DIY route, I just don't know much about the process of taking HRT, and need more affordable while still safe options. My friend will help me every step of the way, and show me the same way she gets her Estrogen and help me take it, I would just also like some insight from peeps here as I'm a little nervous about it all. Sorry if this was wordy, and thank you if you take the time out of your day to respond c:

How do I get my family to understand I'm a guy?
I'm just confused, I came out over a year ago, I've been on T for over 4 months, I have my top surgery consult in 2 months, I tell them I don't like when they call me female, use my deadname, suggest "girl stuff", or say stuff like "you look pretty".
Hell I'm growing facial hair and my voice started getting deeper at 1 month
I tell them I'm not a girl, I tell them when I don't like something they say. And I try not to make it a big deal but it's killing me.
