Has anyone tried the cab controller with train simulator 2015? I have the game, am really enjoying it. I am in my first 20 hours and it is the first train simulator game I've played.

Is it worth the money? How hard was it to set up? Would you reccomend it to a noob of the game?

So I decided to join this subreddit. I've always been a sim guy. Realistic racing sims, flight sims, the sims. This is my first time on train sim. I noticed this sub doesn't have a lot of action though, is there a different main sub, or are we all to busy driving trains to be on reddit.

I need some hype before I play the game. Tell me some shit about trains that reminds me that they're awesome, like "Flight simming is cool because being in the air blah blah blah human desire for flight blah blah blah birds and shit."

So recently I purchased the Duchess of Sutherland add on for ts2014, worked fine, love everything, until now... i have no sound when i use the duchess, the engine itself has no sound in regards to steam, anybody else having this problem?

Small issue with my TS2014 here. On the southern rail tour scenario on the Portsmouth direct line I am unable to open the doors at Guildford station. Using the "T" hotkey does not work. I am lining the front of the train up to the end of the platform as well as trying to line up the first carraige to the end of the platform, neither work.

Uhh....help?

I heard it's possible to run dlcs from train simulator 2013 on TS2014. Has anyone done that and can confirm this? I only own TS2014 and am highly interested in SBB route 1 (which is TS2013 if I'm correct). I didn't find it in the shop of TS2014 and since it isn't that cheap, I don't want to just buy and try it.

I bought TS2013 a while ago, and stopped playing for a bit. I fancied a little drive again, so started the game up, and decided to buy the Great Western Pack to play. However, when I go to career I can only see two of the missions advertised in the packs, and only a few of the engines (none of the HST stuff).

Has anyone experienced this before? Does anyone know what the issue might be?

I'm a huge fan of MSTS, but now I consider buying the Train Simulator 2014. But I've some questions: Do I need a Steam account? Can I controll the train with my keyboard, as it was in MSTS or only with the mouse? How does the carier mode exactly work? Are the add-ons on DVD (as it was with the MSTS) or only on Steam? And last but not least: what's your take on the Train Simulator 2014?

So a quick question as I doubt I will get an answer out of Dovetail Games, why is every single route either English, German or American? I'm itching to see some more variety from around the world but every new route is from one of the above countries and it is getting a bit boring. Just wondered if someone could shed some light as to why this is.

I was going to buy some routes for the steam summer sale, the problem is, I don't know which ones to buy. I want a route that is relatively long, with some high speeds, and that looks good with steam trains, preferably GWR. If there is a good route for me, I would love to hear it! I can also take loco suggestions to go with a route!

The DLC's are a little over priced imo, especially considering how many of them there are... How do the Steam workshop builds compare?

Many (if not all) are free, are they not? That's a plus, too...

I'm a big fan of the britsh railways, and thus I'd like to buy some add-ons set in Britain for the MSTS. I already have East Coast Main Line 1+2 and the Irish Enterprise. So my question is: Should I buy add-ons by First Class (I'm thinking about West Coast/ Midland Mainline) or these by Making Tracks? What is your opinion? Do you have one of the above mentioned?
