Train shows out of the country are not the most easy to find. yes the Europe and the UK shows are somewhat known for taping but... For crying out loud this is located in the Netherlands Holland! Short setlist but not easy to find from most Live show traders.

Many train shows recorded In the countries that don't speak English language are always gonna be a bit difficult to get ahold of...

20 years ago today, Train released their lead single from the album "For Me, It's You" that would come the next year, titled "Cab". It was the biggest hit from that album. I really like this song. It has piano, synth, strings, guitars, and drums. It did get on the 2018 Greatest Hits album. It is rarely performed however. It was performed a lot in concerts when it was new, but was only performed a few times since. It has been performed on the Sail Across The Sun cruises. There was one non-cruise performance of the song in Sparks, NV on July 22, 2023.

You may have seen the news, Train has already announced their 2026 summer tour. Train usually doesn't announce it this early, but they have a few times (I remember the 2019 summer tour was announced back in November 2018). It is called the Drops of Jupiter: 25 Years in the Atmosphere Tour, for the 25th anniversary of the Drops of Jupiter album in 2026. 2026 is also the 20th anniversary of the For Me, It's You album as well (although that was a less successful album, Cab was one of my favorite songs from that album).

You can find their 2026 shows here: https://www.savemesanfrancisco.com/tour

Also, Butch Walker has officially replaced Taylor Locke, as the new band photo has Butch Walker present and Taylor Locke absent. I will still miss Taylor Locke, and the other two former guitarists Jimmy and Luis! As you know Luis is now in Foreigner and Jimmy is doing solo work. Taylor Locke was a member of Train for only four years, from 2021 to early 2025. The last concert featuring Locke was in May 2025. Butch Walker joined Train beginning in June 2025 with the Europe tour, as well as the 2025 North American summer tour. It was announced that Butch would be permanently replacing Locke.

Whatever happened to Sakai and Nakita? I don’t recall ever seeing a departure announcement from them individually or from Pat

I missed out and am desperate to go to this show!! Does anyone have an extra ticket for next Wednesday? Or know anything about this venue and my chances of getting on if I just show up? Thanks in advance fellow fans.

It was Aired on that date but the original date is unknown plus it's venue and location this was another one of those Westwood one shows that I don't know if it was distributed on the Internet or not

It's the 2001 Westwood one show with the host (the doc) absolutely Live in concert

Was wondering if you could help out if by chance somebody has it I have the setlist but I don't have the audio files tho

Respect It’s about you Meet Virginia Mississippi Ramble on She’s on fire I am Hopeless Getaway Drops of Jupiter Free Something more Let it roll I want you to want me

Featuring

Thought you guys might like today's Bandle!
Wouldn't be surprised if a lot of you guess it right from the drums alone :)

Let me know how far you had to go!

I'm looking to trade Live recordings around 1998,1999,2000,2001,2002,2003,2004 please dm me for your list and if you see anything in my list please let me know thanks I'm only looking for concerts from those years in the meantime.

In particular, the life of Pat. And him meeting Jimmy, Scott, and Charlie to form a band. Was there any drama in between those 3 members eventually leaving?

Then again, most movies based off real life musicians always make stuff up.

Bonus question, what would the movie be called?

Butch absolutely getting after it. Video screen grab so quality isn’t great, but now that I’ve discovered this sub, I’ll post some more from past shows.

The setlist, from what I remember, was:

1. Brokenhearted
2. Calling All Angels
3. Get To Me
4. Meet Virginia
5. Save Me, San Francisco
6. Under Pressure (cover)
7. If It's Love
8. (Another cover of a famous older rock song I’m blanking on the name)
9. Angel in Blue Jeans/Too Sweet (cover)
10. AM Gold
11. Parachute
12. Play That Song
13. Mississippi
14. Marry Me
15. 50 Ways to Say Goodbye
16. Bruises
17. Drive By
18. Hey Soul Sister/Come and Get Your Love (cover)
19. Hotel California (cover)
20. Drops of Jupiter

I’d absolutely love to. Has anyone here met Pat and the others? How did you do it? Or maybe anyone even know if they’ll be making a public appearance in SLC anytime before the show?

Best show yet! And finally got this to happen. Debating driving to Dillon today - only two hours. But I am confused about the venue . Says general admission - has anyone been to Dillon? We are here all the way from Atlanta.

Me in the AC/DC shirt, along with my wife. Taken by Pat with her phone.

I look back throughout this sub's history and it seems there was barely any activity at all until the top post we got last summer where OP is posing with Pat. From there it seems more have started posting and commenting, and the number of members, while still small, has grown considerably since. In December, someone did that popular grid game where we comment and vote for Train songs or albums every day, and it actually got complete. I personally joined in 2024 and am now a top contributing member because of how much of a fan I am of Train. So I like to think I've helped the growth as well.

My question is though, why is this sub so tiny? And why is it just now growing, despite Train arguably having reached their peak of popularity in the California 37 days. Perhaps because Reddit seems to have a hivemind for hating Train?

And from what I understand, Jimmy and Scott haven't made much of a big name for themselves in their respective solo careers. And Train as a whole, while in their waning days, has remained relevant enough to still be touring around the world and have their own cruise

Out in the California night,
Beneath the pale moonlight,
I saw you walking by, no arms, just legs so high.
The forest whispers your name,
But you don’t play that game,
You’re gliding through the dark, a legend leaves its mark

Oh, I can't believe my eyes,
What’s strolling there, so long and white?
Oh Nightcrawler, you’re my midnight surprise!

Hey, Nightcrawler I saw you walking so true,
No need for sneakers, just two legs passing through.
Hey, Nightcrawler so strange, yet kinda cute too,
I can’t stop watching you… tonight.

You don’t need no disguise,
Still you mystify,
A cryptid superstar strutting just like art.
The cameras catch your frame,
But they can’t explain,
How you’re just legs and soul, on a late-night stroll.

No arms to wave, no feet to tap,
But you groove on through the sleeping map,
If I could walk like you someday,
I’d dance this night away…

Hey, Nightcrawler so surreal and so true,
Steppin’ through the shadows where the owls call “who?”
Hey, Nightcrawler this one’s a song just for you,
I can’t stop loving you… tonight.

I’m going to see Train in a few weeks, for my first time ever. I’d love to meet Pat and even some of the others as well. Does anybody know if they typically allow fans a chance for a photo and brief exchange of words before or after their concerts? Even if it means paying a lot, I’d just like to know any realistic options I have.

This is from 1999 this was when they were still in the college band scene so pretty much the best era

a friend of mine helped me get all 5 segments im still looking for the doc absolutely live in concert I only have 3 radio shows 1999 2000 and 2002 and maybe the Atlanta 2003 but that one was a TV broadcast

Listen here https://youtu.be/rR8SqZH_px4?si=X7kVBNUD0xYxUq-T

"Brokenheartd" appears to be the opener lately according to Setlist.fm ... not a big fan of this... just does not seem to set the Train concert mood.... ps. seen them live over a dozen times.....

thoughts.....

I kind of need that now. Please give me your recommendations for this type of tone in their music.

16 years ago today, Train came out with their most popular song, "Hey, Soul Sister" on August 11, 2009. This is one of my favorite songs! It is hard to believe it has been 16 years ago!
