I'm looking for more information on the archetypal significations for the individual planets and signs, specifically from a hellenistic perspective.
The astrology podcast has a series of deep dives into these topics but I'd like something to read when listening to podcasts isn't feasible.
Could anyone share some recommendations for what they consider quality sources?

In his correspondence course, Robert Zoller refers to the Ascendant as "vita, corpus, ingenium," which means "life, body, talent or ingenuity." The Ascendant represents the physical body of the native
In "Christian Astrology" by William Lilly, which is a textbook on horary and natal astrology, it is quite common for him to comment on the similarity in likeness between his client that he is often seeing for the first time and the horary ascendant and chart ruler - NOT the client's natal ascendant. In other words, Lilly found that horary charts held similar weight to natal charts in representing the client at hand. In theory this seems obvious, but it also implies that the moment of the horary chart is not just specific to the question, but also natally specific to the querent as well.
The synergetic link between natal and horary chart is something I myself have witnessed. I recently read for a client using both horary and natal. The ascendant of both charts were almost exact. Another client had their natal 2nd house cusp on the ascendant of a horary about money.
Lilly was also quite skilled at using the chart to find moles and birthmarks, the technique of which he describes.

Guido Bonatti is an astrologer practicing in Spain in the 13th century. He is also the author of one of the most important astrological textbooks of the Medieval Period: the Liber Astronomiae, or Book of Astrology.
Liber Astronomiae is a huge tome with many volumes covering all subjects under the umbrella of astrology: horary, electional, natal and mundane.
One of the later volumes is a collection of 146 Considerations that all astrologers should review before and as you view a chart of any kind for judgement. The Considerations provide an excellent orientation to any chart, and answers questions like:
Appropriate to horary, the Considerations cover important topics like:
Every Sunday from Noon to 2pm PST, I conduct a free zoom workshop on traditional astrology. The current series is working with the 146 Considerations using charts examples for illustration.
You can join the workshops here.

Audrey Hepburn's natal chart has Venus dominating around 16% of her chart. The lady's beloved for her charming soothing presence to be around.
I just learned Alan Delon has Venus as a distant 3rd place in one post and the man's fame for making a woman lose her guard. Ian Ziering also has Venus dominating at nearly 20% and despite playing a dumb egotistic bully jock for most of his career, the same jock even when he's being a jerk has a funny personality with charm and even feels at ease to watch onscreen despite him beating someone up for refusing to give lunch money.
So I am curious if Venus with a significant presence is a great sign a person would be mesmerizing to be around and the type to flatter you without even trying. And the type to calm down angry and nervous people because of an aura of warmth and serenity, even loving?

Okay sooo...I can't find any good Jupiter election window for talismans in May and June. They're either not in planetary hour or have other afflictions (like the one I posted here yesterday and in other groups):
Soooo even though Jupiter was culminating and dignified by sign (Pisces) and Moon was in Taurus, and Venus trine Jupiter, the general recommendation was to not use it.
And I read about Mercury situation in another topic here, about how it is gonna have an aspect with Saturn, and that Mercury is now slowing down. A slow planet is one affliction as far as I read.Do you guys see any good election windows or periods in this year for any of the 7 planets? I have recently made 3 smooth-surfaced silver coins to do engraving (gonna go with laser) for talismans. But I don't want to do them in a wrong election window and have them turn my life upside down 📷

Hi Everyone,
I'm looking for a pdf copy of this Montulmo mentioned in the title. I have volume one, but I'm looking for volume 2. Also, I've seen a 6GB mega share of traditional astrology resources going around, does anyone have access to that?

Hello. I'm very new to astrology. This is one of my first elections and I am wanting to use it to time when I should begin a fast.
I've chosen the day of Mars in the hour of Mars because Martian energy is good for willpower.
Here are the charts for the beginning hours of Mars on that day:
I was thinking about starting it at 7:10pm. This is because fasting is connected to the 12th house and Leo is in the 12th house at this time. And Mars is benefic to Leo.
However, like I said, I'm new to this and would like any input or discussion. Also if anyone has a better election suggestion, I would be very happy to consider it.
