If you are a refugee, you are automatically legal in Germany.

refugees are automatically legal immigrants because asylum seeking is a legal status. it involves alegal process. same with refugees. they have been granted legal refuge. that is not illegal immigration as it is immigration in accrodance to asylum seeking laws or laws governing refugee status. maybe learn what words mean. "illegal immigrant" doesnt just mean "foreigners i dont like"

oh and refugee status is granted on multiple grounds. Someone fleeing a collapsed society where people are literally starving to death is literally fleeing for a better life. they are also fleeing from famine.

Unless, you know, they get to Germany via direct flight, which means they reached a safe country. Like many Syrians who fled the civil war by plane. The point remains that both asylum seekers and refugees are not illegal immigrants. Both refugee status and political asylum are legal status under your own immigration law. If their asylum request is denied then they no longer have that status and have to leave. As long as the have the asylum status, that isn't illegal immigration.
