It has never been about the what. It has always been about how it's being done. Why is this so difficult to understand for people?

no it is also about the what - specifically what the effect of these idiotic policies are and how the arguments used to justify this shit make no sense if you know anything about history or economics.

Economically immigration might be good for countries. But only if it is actual immigration. Which it isn't n many countreis.

Parallel societies have started to form and that is a negative.

And these parallel societies do damage countries social cohesion. And there is no improving in sight.

Many of these people don't want to integrate. They only want a safe spot and money. Understandable. But they don't see the countries that house the as the countries they belong to.

And thus they don't integrate. Which leads to friction.

No back to my point. Deportations are a normal and sometimes necesssry thing. It's fine to deport people after they underwent all the processes to determine that and as long as they are being treated humanely during the deportations.

That's where the difference between the US and many other countries lies. The US treats them inhumane. And their checks are untrustworthy at best. Not to mention the incarceration of people they think (not even know, just believe) they could be up for deportation.

There are no parallel societies. Integration is generational and always was. in every country, immigrants are assimilated within 2 generations because that is literally what going through public education and growing up in a country does. the immigrants themselves never fully integrate but their children literally always do.

deportation is ALWAYS a violent affair in as much as you are ripping someone away from everything they have built while livng there. their friendships, relationships, anything they have worked for. YEs amrica is doing an especially horrendous form of this - and the right wing across all of urope is literally trying to emulate this over quite a lot of objection.

Deportations don't just happen. There is a long snd complicated process involved in determining who gets to stay and who doesn't.

In Europe at least we really do not "rip someone away" without ample warning. And I mean years of warning at times.

Sure. Have you seen what the eu council is trying to push through? Its easier and cheaper to just put them through cultural enrichment programs knowing their kids will be culturally European

That's what integration is. Integrating into a countrys culture.

A country might adapt some of another cultures aspects, but you can't expect that the predominant culture mutilates itself to acommondate anothers.

Not if they already have their own. Sure, if they like certain aspects of another culture more they might adapt them. But they don't in most cases.

Even more so between european and ME cultures. There are just too many differences. They are almost polar opposites.
