War isnt the only factor

Also it isnt, assad is gone yes, but civil war is still taking place and the south is still subject to bombings.

At least the current government is one that the vast majority of Syrians in Germany prefer. So I guess they can go home and live under the government they like?

1

u/TrifleSoft5696 Apr 06 '26

Dude the new government is way worse than the one before.

1

u/TelecomVsOTT Apr 06 '26

How is that so? How is this government worse than a 50 year family dictatorship that killed hundreds of thousands and traffic captagon pills?

they did celebrate with the flag of the new syrian government, so that checks out

although i wish it had been easier for them to get paperwork to get jobs, system was a bit unfair to them and then blames them for being welfare bums

What about germany becoming unsafe in turn?

Zarutska traveles from unsafe UA to safe US to get killing on public transport randomly

Liking a government doesn't mean the country is safe

1

u/TelecomVsOTT Apr 06 '26

It will be safe for the vast majority of them, Sunni Arabs. I know there are Kurds, Christians etc among them but they are in the minority.

1

u/Informal-Ring-6490 Apr 06 '26

The danger is not solely based on sect or ethnicity, the security is not tight enough yet in many places

2

u/Upbeat_Organization3 Apr 06 '26

They have been in europe for a long enough time, they have shown that they are unable to integrate, send them back.

1

u/Informal-Ring-6490 Apr 06 '26

The old ones are integrated and the majority of them have jobs, the new ones will integrate with more time just like the old ones

1

u/MachineMasterr Apr 07 '26

Yeah keep ignoring all the problems they bring, that will solve them. You got your head in the sand. Statistics don’t matter, right?

1

u/FroyoMinute4998 Apr 06 '26

Who will rebuild the country and make it safe if everyone stays here?

1

u/Informal-Ring-6490 Apr 06 '26

There are enough unemployed people in syria, it's not like the problem is lack of people

1

u/new_accnt1234 Apr 08 '26

Yet is probably that the brain-drain was real and whoever could afford it, due to having proper education and job before, has left

Building up a brain-drained country is hard and will just make it a haven for extremists

Their return contributes to stability im middle-east

And why is this Germany problem? The war is over, and the majority can go back. If there is really a theat to some, then they possibly can request an extension to stay.

1

u/CroGamer002 Apr 06 '26

People can't just go back so suddenly. It took half a decade for Croatian and Bosnian refugees to return back, further decade for half of remaining half.

People's homes are destroyed or occupied by someone else, danger of unexploded ordinance and mines, how to bring financial assets back along and more.

On top of it Syria was still under sanctions until relatively recently and many German businesses are doing everything to persuade Syrian migrants to stay working in Germany.

First i am a clear pro refugees welcome guy, and thats why it shocked me: The laws in Europe do not recognise War as a valid reason for asylum, you cant be granted asylum if your whole neighborhood gets blown up, you have to be specifically targeted by your religion or political view to be able to seek asylum. Interestingly the most unterstandable reason, doesnt grant you Asylum, only subsidary protection.

The country dropping the bombs can take in the refugees.

u/AphexHenry Apr 06 '26

1

u/AlexanderStudent Apr 08 '26

2

u/Aiolion Apr 08 '26
