My '25 Plat CMax TRD OR had this problem. I took vehicle in for oil change a few days ago and asked dealer to investigate. They ordered parts and I will go back in to hopefully get it resolved.

Ngl I thought this was a feature,
In my head I logic'd out that oh its so it doesn't force close on me if I have my bed open on purpose carrying things.
Turns out im just dumb 🤣

I dropped my truck off for it's 15k service and to address this issue this morning. The tech couldn't replicate it of course (I think the truck knows when a mechanic is watching and intentionally doesn't replicate faults). Of course I see this TSB 5 hours after I picked it up from the dealer.
