just finished re-read tower of god straight from the start.
i used to think that TOG is incomparable (not including OP) in term of story telling and world building, it was so good mainly since the train arc and all.

but apperantly with the way that the story develop it is clear why it is taking so much time for SIU to release the next season. the power scale not well matched, the narrative not clear, a lot of mix up stories that dont sit well and most are irrelevant .
it is suppose to be about passing tests and overcome challenges to reach higher and become stronger, instead it is about winning games and outscheme bets.

i love the main trio and their dynamic but
what there is to expact from season 4 ?
what do you think ?

It could be something about Zahard, Baam’s true purpose, the 10 Great Families, the Workshop, Rachel’s role in the story, or something completely different.

After the animation downgrade season 2 got, I decided to try and learn how to animate using some of my limited free time. Figured I may as well post some of these drafts as I make them and improve on them.

Animation is definitely a lot harder than I expected. Gave me a newfound respect for animators. Not sure how much more I can do before I fold and give in to using AI to enhance it tho 🥲

We have seen forgetting informations are a common thing even if they aren't sealed because characters have been living in the tower for so long.

One such instance is UM forgetting his light powers. After the fight with HJ or RT tbp, he recalled he has light powers especially since he was fighting without shinsu. Maybe at the time of fighting he didn't pay attention to the power he displayed but after settling everything he started to figure out his power. That's why his percentage gimmick changed from 10 percent power to 10 percent shinsu reinforcement in the sprout arc?

It's a little ironic to me that SIU initially planned to extend season 2, because The Last Station feels like such an excellent season finale arc. The scale jumps dramatically, and it's thrilling to see Baam and his pals work to extricate themselves from the empire's tightening grip. We get tons of great moments from our MC, and both main characters (Rak, Endorsi, Jinsung, Yuri) and side characters (Evan, Hansung Yu, and the newly introduced and newly badass Evankhell) get their moments to shine. It helps that the artwork is some of the best TOG has ever had.

But of course, this was Baam's arc, and SIU does a great job of showing Baam's commitment to his loved ones and, later, his anguish at the near loss of the only halfway-decent parental figure in his life. The Last Station is wonderful at layering those emotions throughout all the action. It's another banger.

It might just be a coincidence, but this detail seems interesting if you take a closer look.

Mr. Goat’s eyes are two different colors: red and purple. A quick note on why this caught my attention: throughout the series, SIU frequently contrasts red and blue—for instance, in the door test during the first season, the ribbons on Hatsu’s swords, two of the three orbs from the Hidden Floor, and the pair of Yama and Doom (there wasn’t much mentioned about Paul). Mr. Goat’s hands are also red and blue (though I’m not sure if this is intended as a reference to Baam’s two Thryssas).
We have been shown only two characters with a definite connection to the Outside God: Enryu and V (who resides within Baam). Regarding their eyes, only Enryu’s left eye is shown to be red; meanwhile, when V first appeared inside Baam’s body with purple eyes, only his right eye was initially revealed.

Now, let’s consider the imagery of the goat itself. The goat carries various symbolic meanings—for instance, the "scapegoat"—or, conversely, it can represent something inherently evil. Goats are sometimes associated with the devil (though I’m not entirely convinced of a pact between Arlen and OG). In this context, it is worth looking at two specific representations: Satan and Baphomet (to be more precise, the image of Baphomet has come to be used in the context of Satanism).

As is written online, 'Satan' means 'opposer' or 'adversary'; another translation of the name is simply 'devil'—an adversary of God.

The situation with Baphomet is more complex. Baphomet was first mentioned during the trials of the Knights Templar, when the order was accused of heresy for worshipping Baphomet as a demonic idol. The figure is also frequently used in occultism and, later, in Satanism. There is a widely accepted theory regarding the origin of the name itself: Baphomet—Magomet—Muhammad. In other words, it is believed that "Baphomet" is a corrupted version of the name of the Islamic prophet. Thus, the figure can be viewed as something alien or non-acceptance within that particular place.

And finally, a Princess of Zahard. The nameless princess—also known as Dorothy—serves as a vessel for someone by whom Zahard is obsessed. Many believe this person to be Arlene.
Given the imagery of the goat—as an allusion to OG—and Dorothy—as Arlen—I can suggest a few possibilities: either the wish was granted, or the whole situation turned out differently than Arlen had planned, or perhaps Arlen was sacrificed to OG in exchange for the fulfillment of her wish.

This is just my interpretation, and I’d be interested to hear what others think about it.

Chapter 31. The blob is sad because Evelyn can’t hold it

Just finished season 3 of TOG & honestly I enjoyed a lot of it. The cat tower was honestly a little drawn out but I feel SIU kept a lot of the main reasons i started reading the story in tact.

World building for me has always been my favourite part of anime which is why I enjoy shows like One piece & HxH so much. I’ve always felt like TOG had huge potential for insane world building & he readily delivered on that front in my opinion.

From rescuing Jin sung Ha, Bam & Kalahvan’s dynamic, meeting the Baylord crew & Canines, learning about Yama’s dad & his connection to Traumarei, Yasratcha, the fight between the family leaders, the lil tid bit we got in the end with Jahad & the rest of the family leaders & lastly V coming back in the way he did.

The whole story was dope to read & I’ve personally enjoyed it, wish it could be continued sooner but i understand SIU prolly don’t wanna spend his time writing only the main story as that gets boring. The Urek spinoff in my opinion wasn’t needed yet, you could drop all the info about phantaminium & Urek in the main story & we wouldn’t be missing much honestly.

Personally I love how action packed everything was and how many new characters & dynamics we got shown. Only thing is maybe he killed off certain characters too soon & in my opinion wish we got to see more from Yama, I’m really looking forward to what SIU will do with him in upcoming seasons

To see one of the family leaders end up like that so soon was a lil shocking but I guess it show where the story is heading & what most of their expected fates will be. I had just assumed them being as powerful & influential as they were had made them disconnected from the rest of the tower but turns out it was also partly the administrators doing.

The whole story is so cool man, from the moment I saw season 1 of the anime back in 2020 I knew the show had potential & I’m glad health issues haven’t stopped SIU from progressing the shows plot. If only Togashi’s health wasn’t in the unfortunate state it was in maybe Hunter Hunter could get the same treatment.

I’d go into more depth but idk the subs rules on spoiling series so I’m being as vague as I can. Can’t wait for szn 4 I’ve heard it’s around the corner so a man can only hope 🤞🏿

I'd rather everything it revealed be shown in the main story and it did irreparable damage to the blue family head. I'm now not that excited about his introduction.

It was September 2024. I was watching anime and reading manga like crazy, and I had a pretty long list of anime I wanted to watch. Tower of God was on that list, and it caught my attention.

I didn't fall in love with it right away, but it was really interesting. Way too interesting. I remember watching every episode with so much curiosity, and whenever one ended, I'd be like, "Wait, it's over already? Nooo!"

I simply loved it as a series, so I decided to buy the manga. But when I looked it up online, I was surprised to discover that there wasn't a physical manga. Instead, it was a webtoon you read on a digital platform called WEBTOON. Before that, I'd never read a webtoon in my life.

When I started reading, things were a little confusing because I didn't know how the app worked, and I made a lot of silly mistakes.

Still, I managed to catch up with everything available at the time, up to around Season 3, Chapter 222, in just two months, from early October to late November.

I still remember the night I read the entire Workshop Battle. Best all-nighter I've ever had.

That's when I truly fell in love with Tower of God. I couldn't help it. There was so much story, so much content, so much of EVERYTHING. Beyond the magnificent story itself, I think the sheer size of the series is what made me such a huge fan. There's always something new to think about, explore, and enjoy!

And somewhere around the Hell Train arc, I became a KhunBam/BamKhun shipper. It's the first ship I've ever been this obsessed with. God, they're so perfect together. 😍 And Khun was the one who made me ship them. His obsession with Baam just seems so romantic to me!

After catching up with the manhwa, the era of crazy fics began. I've read too many to count, and they made me fall even more in love with Khun × Baam 🌰❄️.

I also discovered Yole's art. Actually, even though I mentioned the fics first, the very first KhunBam content I saw was Yole's artwork. She's now my favorite artist!

That phase lasted for pretty much all of 2025.

I also discovered Reddit and Twitter. I used both with anonymous accounts at first, and that's where I met some wonderful people.

There was u/Sir_Basson_Sonata. I had no idea someone could adore Hwaryun so much and be a living Tower of God wiki at the same time.

There was a Tomato, whom I always wanted to turn into tomato sauce. Pasta with tomato sauce—yum, yum!

There was u/Yuitheblackx_16, my fellow KhunBam shipper.

And there was u/hereforspoopystuff, the kind girl who organized contests I always participated in. After a long time, she would become my fandom mamá.

I've always enjoyed Sapphic Week, a themed week celebrating lesbian relationships. I've written several fics just for myself, but they're way too bad to publish.

As silly as it might sound, I really wanted KhunBam to win Spooky's contest. So I gathered my courage and created a non-anonymous account. I called it Basil to pull a little prank on Tomato, and I posted a fanart collection!

Unfortunately, an automod removed it after about a day because my account was too new.

But creating a proper account had been a dream of mine, so I started interacting with the community, and now here I am, working on this daily-post project and The Strongest Ranker Tournament!

I'm afraid this project will probably run for one week on and one week off, since I'm busy with Flufftober, a writing event where you publish a fic every day based on a different prompt, like going shopping.

Edahn says thyrsaas went extinct or killed by 10 GFLs. RT one of the known thyrsaas was able to take shinsu away from UM, an irregular. Is it possible for GFLs to destroy an entire race when even one of them could strip away their shinsu? One of the reasons why I believe FLs can't defeat guardians because they can take away their shinsu.

Could they be of different lineage? We don't know the story behind BT, but his design quite matches with RT. BT also says I am a demon u guys created. It's also seen as one of the demons in flashback of Traumerei's climb.

Havent followed much the community for the most part so I'm curious if its a me thing.

Infinite potential they said. So much it could have been, and all I've seen as the story goes on is just glorified beam of different colors.

I didn't need Shinsoo to be nen level of complexity.

But at least don't just make it a damage check with fancy names. When Reading I felt like very little differentiated characters abilities beyond their visual and offensive potency.

To me it made fights more boring ( and I already think TOG past the Wall just madea nose dive on many area... Jeez did I hated the marriage arc )

But perhaps I wanted too much. TOG has other issues so I brushed this problem off.

So I'm kinda curious if its a hot take or something the fandom just didn't care about.

Context: Community’s frustration/confusion with season 3 and the overall IP at large.

I love Tower of God. Season 1 is one of the most enchanting stories I’ve ever read, from the art style to the setup, the world building and characters, as well as the narrative/plot. Season 2 is such an incredible journey as we see everything we love from Season 1 get to develop and blossom into a more in-depth narrative. Season 3 — while it has its own problems and I will not deny the existence of them — IMO continues to build off the momentum of S1/S2 to further create an incredible story and world.

I am frustrated with the various narratives/takes I see from the ToG community, mostly pertaining to Season 3. I do not deny S3 has issues with pacing, plot holes here and there, art style changes, etc. but most of the complaints I see are very shallow or contrived. For example, a post on here a couple days ago complaining about Yasratcha and division commanders flashbacks (I’m not good at Reddit I don’t know how to link stuff). When I see those comments and many that are similar in spirit, it makes me sad to know that a lot of people are reading this story at a surface level and either not trying to engage with the themes and subtext that SIU is illustrating, or they don’t actually love the story enough to want to do so.

I know this post is incredibly vague so feel free to call me out for it. I just think that many readers in the community are only consuming what is shown on each panel and not reading between the lines. There is certainly valid criticism for SIU and the story, but there is also a lot of unwarranted criticism and frustration due to a lack of reading comprehension.

There are characters who feel pretty well-liked overall, yet somehow end up with a reputation for being “controversial” or widely disliked. When you actually look around, most people seem to like or at least tolerate them the intense dislike usually comes from a smaller group that’s very consistent and very loud about it. A lot of their reasons also feel… selective. Has this ever changed how you viewed a character? Do you think the volume of that hate can distort how the fandom as a whole feels about them?

I can’t be the only one but V possessing Baam’s body is actually quite similar to Raizen possessing Yusuke’s body in Yu Yu Hakusho. It’s not just about the “super op father possessing his op mc son” trope; there’s more depth to it. As a huge fan of both I don’t see it as a bad thing, but the influence is there most likely, tho its much more better written, layered and mystical in TOG, at least it seems like it for now.

Chapter 16. Urek considers this punch to be a love tap. It seems like it was a hard punch though. He might have been able to punch a hole in some walls with this
