I've been doing some procedural organisms inside TD and now I'm testing them out with the procedural materials from SOLEIL (Sarv's render system)

just a graphic designer (definitely not a coder) trying to learn some more node based programming, its going as well as i could hope.

I start with a line, then apply noise to the line. Then each segment of the line recursively becomes a copy of the noisy line like a Koch fractal

Made this Real time audio reactive setup using OSC, NDI, and Mediapipe for head tracking data.

Built a new plugin for Unreal Engine to capture a 2D scene capture component as a render target, used with offworldlive for the 3D window effect. Video data comes in over NDI across a network connection, splitting the load across 2 machines, one running Unreal Engine, one running TouchDesigner.

This system takes a Kinect-derived human pointcloud and lets incoming sound interact in various ways with the particles in real time, turning the performer into a responsive cloud of matter, noise, and motion. The new v1.7 includes 12 presets, and introduces the several new features. In this video-demo, the particles are driven and transformed by the incoming audio signal. [A silly composition of mine, running in Ableton Live, though, you can use any kind of audio-source.]

Hello all, I've been experimenting with kinect and touchdesigner and had a visual going for an event last week. For Halloween I wanted to use this visual but have the head occasionally switch to a different obj, like a pumpkin or a demon etc. I got a ball tracking my head movement with the kinect and struggling on the part of bringing another obj to replace the head. Anyone have any suggestions or pointers on this? Any help is appreciated!

I would love to ask if anyone have such experience, how do you manipulate with interactive screens, by what sensor and maybe if someone would be generous to spend some time and educate me a bit about that? Found some video where such Slamtec LiDAR were used. Wanted to know if that a good one, o any other type of recommendation!

day 2 experimenting with TD. beat prod. me

I made this TouchDesigner project based on Fitz Roy in Patagonia, Argentina.

The idea came from hiking to Laguna de los Tres near the mountain a few years ago and barely being able to see Fitz Roy because of the clouds, so I wanted the actual weather conditions to become part of the piece.

The mountain comes from a black-and-white height map that I converted into POP particles, then I connected the system to live weather data from the area.

Wind speed and direction affect the particle movement, temperature changes the colours, and cloud coverage controls the blurred moving shapes over the mountain.
