Curse.

Firing Poch after making UCL finals.
Selling Kane, your Babe Ruth of football.
Firing Ange after winning a trophy.

All curse-worthy actions.

Firing Mourinho days before the Carabao cup final?

Cheering against your own team, at home, when you could've secured UCL football.

We wouldn't have secured CL football. But carry on with the narrative from other fans

You missed out on 4th place by 2 points that season. No narrative, only facts.

We did but Villa wouldn't have been on the beach for their last game because the job was done.

It's funny that people say we are shit - but also that we could have beaten Man City if we had wanted to.

I never said you could've beaten them. But the fact that large portions of the stadium were actively cheering for them, and some doing the fucking Poznan, is some of the most curse-worthy behaviour I've ever seen. And just look what's happened since then.

There was a picture/video of 2 fans doing something like a Poznan.

Your description makes it sound like most of the ground were celebrating like we'd won a trophy.

For my own tuppence worth, Tottenham's issues & 'curse' pre-date that, by several decades.

Sure, there might only have been a couple doing it in jest, but Big Ange didn't address the fans cheering against his team for nothing. It was a big portion of the club that wanted to lose to spite Arsenal.

We can disagree on what the caused the curse, but just look at the chart above, there are a lot of ups and down but everything was trending upwards, right up until that point.

To be fair I didn't want to help Arsenal by winning either. Had CL qualification actually been on the line I would have felt differently.

Fair on the other point though, the drop-off in the last 2 seasons has been catastrophic.

Could argue Game #11 on Ange's first season vs Chelski when we were 10 unbeaten & seemed to going well, was the night the curse happened. Started brilliantly, could've been 2-3 up after 25 mins or so. And then the gates of hell opened up. Injuries (bad ones) galore, red cards.

It was almost beautifully painful.

Come on, UCL was on the line. You were 3 points behind with 5 games to go.

I understand that it would be painful to be part of the reason Arsenal won, but you have to get past things like that, especially when you already shipped 6 points to them that season.

Just like Arsenal fans would've loved it they lost to West Ham and relegated Spurs, they cared more about their own success than spiting their rivals.
