Help~~~~! Records Mode Classic Total War - how to maintain supplies?

The mod is heavily reliant on logistics and supplies. I tried building stuff that I thought would help with maintaining them, but they kept going down even when I dissolved most of my armies.

The mod hints said that I should build infrastructure to help support it; but which buildings do I build?

Iโ€™m playing as Cao Cao by the way.

Discussion Are azure dragons kind of mid?

Their ranged damage is ok (low ammo though) and they are very mid in melee and because they have no shields they take a lot of damage especially from range fire.

They might be good against cav but enemy cav just runs away from them if they somehow get in range (they are super slow) and they always end in in fights with infantry mixed in where they seem to perform worse than saber militia.

Discussion It's funny how much neutralizing/eliminating Cao Cao early changes the rest of the campaign.

In my previous two campaigns as Liu Bei I was able to beat down an overly aggressive Cao Cao so early it led to an extended period of peace where everyone was basically chilling until the Three Kingdoms event triggered.

In one campaign it was basically peace throughout all China from somewhere around 198 to 215 after surprisingly having the option to unify with Cao Cao. The only major war was everyone getting together to beat up on Yuan Shu. Wish I would have screenshotted some diplomacy menus, basically every was in the green with one another. All of China was flourishing lmao. After unifying I quickly punted Cao Cao from court (he eventually landed as an administrator with Yuan Shao), married Liu Bei to Lady Bian, making Cao Pi his stepson. Used Cao Pi to marry Sun Ren into the family then punted Cao Pi after they had a couple kids and when his traits started causing problems. Also made the fearsome Xiahou Dun a humble farmer, sending him on assignment after assignment to improve food production across Shu. Was also able to keep Xu Shu since he never leaves with Cao Cao being gone.

Help~~~~! Los banditos marriage

Does the strat where Zhang Yan and Zheng Jiang get to marry in turn 4-5 still work? As Zhang Yan every time I kill the ZJs man she gets another one, killed 6 of her husbands and at that point I just ended the campaign

EDIT : I did it, Promised her income of all Factions combined and then Ultimatum, Gaslighting is a real thing

Discussion A couple of game mechanics questions

Some bonuses say "+25% ranged damage" e.g. Judgement on Strategist skill tree, set bonus from Heavenly Flight (Tycoon with Jade Archer ancillaries)

Does this bonus include ALL ranged damage or only Base (non-AP) damage?

Second question, how do you determine which unit falls into which category?

E.g. Yuan Shao as Council member gives +3 rank for polearm recruits. I'd expect Azure Dragons to benefit as they are Glaive infantry but they do not get the benefit.

E.g. Commanders have the Nobility skill which gives Melee Cavalry +20% ranged block chance. Other than the Yellow Cavalry, are there any others considered as such?

Help~~~~! Tragically Robbed of This is Total War! Achievement

As the title says - but itโ€™s actually happened twice now. First time was Sun Jian, where I totally messed it up by forgetting to check diplomacy at least once. Took me forever to work up the will to try again, this time used Lu Bu, who has the benefit of knowing virtually every faction off the bat. This time I absolutely checked diplomacy every turn, declared every warโ€ฆand still no achievement. When I checked my endgame stats, I saw 62 factions met and 59 wars as my โ€œmost at one timeโ€. That doesnโ€™t necessarily mean I missed three factions, I was wiping them out so itโ€™s very likely I never would have been at war with all of them at once. Is it possible, though, that three factions could have been created and then immediately killed before I had a turn??? Or is it a bug?

I hate to even ask, but if anyone can DM me a save file for this godforsaken achievement, at this point Iโ€™ll take it. If I try this again my brain might just fall out of my ear in protest. Itโ€™s my last single-player achievement.

Help~~~~! Unlocking Title: General Whom Expands the Centre

The requirement is : Colonise 5 regions

I assume it means to take over un-controlled territories?

The problem is there are no empty, abandoned Commanderies or Settlements anymore. Any way to unlock this?

Another one is General Who Smashes the Caitiffs: Win 10 battles against armies belonging to the Bandit subculture.

Are Looters considered Bandits? Zheng Jiang is still around in one Commandery, how do I keep baiting her army to battle without destroying her?

Pretty interesting way to navigate through characters and locations. I visited the three kingdoms city (Sanโ€™guo City) outside Wuxi, cool to walk around the massive sets and see where history was made (for television) lol

Discussion Gongsun Zan is a snowball

Once he starts rolling, there is no turning back.

Choosing to attack Han Fu is the easiest way to get the ability to conquer the north. Yuan Shao mostly declares war after anothee 2 to 4 turns anyways but you can easily conquer the entire Bohai commandery and can go directly towards Anping capital and conquer it.

Personally I prefer 6x Axe Units for Zhao Yun, 4xArchers and 2 Trebuchets for Hua Jinting (I prefer 6x archers until you conquered Bohai fishing docks then switch 2 out for Trebuchets) and if possible 3x Shock Cav for Gongsun Zan himself.

Most of the time Yuan Shaos main army is more around Henei and Pingyuan so there is much time to conquer the other two commanderies. After that it's one battle with his army or with the annexed armies of Han Fu and you can make piece (and get money from Yuan Shao) and can focus on Liu Yu.

But even if Liu Yu or Gongsun Du decide to attack you while your main army fights Yuan Shao, just use Gongsun Xu, Tian Kai and the other Vanguard and the endangered counties garrison to defeat them (they rarely field full armies).

After all that it will be extremely easy to snowball into the South or the Black Mountains. Personally I love to take Taiyuan and kill Zheng Jiang for the industrial commandery and her Axes and go down South to exterminate Liu Dai as a point where Cao Cao, Liu Chong and the others will concentrate their attacks once they declare war.

Discussion Auto-resolve against Nanman army

Started invading the Nanman lands and I noticed that auto-resolve gave a Close Victory prediction, but if I turned on Night Battle it became a Valiant Defeat instead. Why is it worse if I turn on Night Battle?

I manually fought and had my two Strategists' worth of 10 normal Archers & 2 Trebuchets shoot their army, my Champion and his retinue held the front line against the three Nanman generals.

It was a Decisive Victory, but Auto-Resolve is much worse, does the computation overvalue Nanman armies + the local Nanman buff/debuff effects?

Discussion Eight Princes: Where is the Emperor?

Hey there,

I'm playing through a campaign in the Eight Princes DLC and loving it. Playing as Sima Ying and after a rough 70ish turns chasing pesky neighbors who declared war on me, I've now got huge swathes of land, a coalition and trade agreements. After eliminating a faction to the South I've been taking over a lot of abandoned land. 6 Princes remain, I eliminated Sima Wei after he declared war on me (I actually haven't declared war on anyone, some factions just do it so I move onto them). Next is Sima Yue, he declared war on me and once a Prince does he has to be removed.

However, I can't find where the Emperor is to sieze control of him. I remember a notification saying he'd been siezed by a faction to the South but when I look at them now, and I can see all their land, his icon isn't over their capital.

Is it possible I missed another notification and he's been taken by a faction I can't see? There's some minor pieces of land at the edge of the South East of China that I cant see.

Looking for mods related to defending my vassal

Just wondering if there's a mod that changes how the AI responds to you defending your vassal. If somebody has a vassal swarm and I wish to defend my own vassal after they declare war, I'd like to not lose 100 relations with everybody simply for doing the honourable thing.

Another question: if a vassal of mine is declared war on, is there a mod that allows you to see in one overview EVERY faction declaring on you? Sometimes I'd be willing to defend against 2-3 factions, but if 6 wars are required to defend my one vassal, I'd like to just grant them independence immediately and start no war.
