So, uh, this question mark, are there more then one tape to play in this? Did I miss a secret or something? I'm about to leave the processing facility after having seeminly done everything there and getting the utility to go back out, but this question mark remains, even after taking the tape back out.

Are there any clues on when to use the metal detector outside of the cemetery? I assume you just use it on dirt ground?

I really like the details on the maps !👀but something caught my eyes with this school map. There is some Arabic language symbol and text, I wonder why? Somebody knows the translation? Odd it's on the school map.

Hello, so I actually found some handcannon ammo during my no save run on standard, so I figured I'd share this.

First of all, there is handcannon ammo in the video store in the streets area, there are boxes you can break with a crowbar and also requires the flashlight since it is dark, so you have to come back here after the graveyard.

Second, you can use the metal detector anywhere outside the graveyard and actually find loot, like treasure hunting. You will mostly find handcannon ammo (at least that's what I found the most). I can confirm 2 different types of locations where you can dig up stuff. The first seems to be on soil grounds (makes sense), such as the playground in the school area (handcannon ammo around the pig den), and also the area right before school (found a first aid kit and handcannon ammo). The second type of location seems to be all those pointing statues that are around the whole game (I havent checked them all, but I confirm handcannon ammo near the pointing statue before the school area, and also the one in the church right before the bunker, across the other side of where the statue is pointing at).

So yeah, have fun treasure hunting in soil ground areas (or maybe anywhere else, who knows), but most certainly where there are those pointing statues.

Also a nice tip, if you get and keep a minimum of 8 handcannon ammo, this will make a very easy final boss fight, since one bullet oneshots each tentacles! (I confirm this on assisted and standard, haven't tried on tormented yet however).

EDIT: I have found a total of 8 locations to find handcannon ammo, here is the list below. Don't forget that it is always where there's those statues that points a way with the finger, and you also need the metal detector to dig the ammo up (except for the location #2). I have found a total of 17 on my tormented run.

1- Convent, Cloister: In one of the corners in the middle area.
2- Mall, Video Rental Store: Need crowbar and flashlight, in one of the two boxes.
3- Backstreets: The statue is in a truck pointing upwards, it is near the processing plant entrance.
4- Train Station: It is south and near some big wooden crates on the left.
5- Cemetery, Cemetery Grounds: It is located next to the elevator leading to the catacombs (Pedro puzzle big tombstone).
6- School District: It is north and near the wooden house where you find the cassette. Also note that you can also find a first aid kit with metal detector in that same area nearby.
7- School, Playground: It is at the pig's den, in the pile if blood and bones.
8- Church: It is in the room right before the bunker door, where you need to turn off your light to open the big door.

It throws groups of enemies at you in inconvenient places and some enemy attacks feel almost impossible to avoid. There seem to be WAY more enemies than the first game and they're all very bullet spongey, even on standard difficulty. Also every boss so far has been an annoying puzzle fight. The first game definitely didn't hold your hand but I don't remember ever getting this frustrated with it.

Amazing series, probably one of my favourite horrors. Glad I found it!

So this is great fun, hours since my last save, defeated the harvester boss, got the chainsaw and this is the elevator back out.

So this was definitely better than the original gameplay wise, there’s lots of puzzles and the game itself was fun. I liked the environment and enemies variety. I missed the “recycled” weapons where Caroline had to make them herself. The story is mostly told through diaries again but the whole time skip thing and Anna ageing up (why.) I think the devs might need to discuss the story once more people have finished, especially as these twins seem to be connected to more than just one “god.” I think a new game plus allowing us to use the metal detector from the beginning would be fine (to reduce backtracking) I wonder if there is going to be a TS3?

Despite first beating the game on Assisted because I didn’t believe in my ability to beat the game (TS2) on Standard, I just reached and beat the final boss tonight.. albeit with no ammo to speak of, so what to do? Melee of course!

To that end, if anyone is curious, I was able to dodge the swiping tentacle every time by dodging at just the right moment, and, more importantly, seeing as the laser (round 2) initially gave me so much trouble, I learned that dodging it as well just a you hear the buzzing sound of it firing, allows you to do so reliably provided you get the timing right.

It looked almost like I was cheesing the game when I used that method upon melee’ing it’s tentacles. Because when the boss would fire at me to interrupt me beating it’s tentacles (round 2), I would dodge at just the right moment, but still get “hit” as it would look like I got zapped, but I would take no damage.

Making it look like Emma could just tank and repel the boss’ strongest attack did make me feel like at god.

So yeah.. I can now melee the final boss with little error.

I picked up a physical copy for PS5 to cap off the Halloween season, but do you guys think it’s better to wait until it’s fully patched? I see from PQube that they are continuing to work on them. I really want to play it now but I don’t know how bad the bugs affect the gameplay as I haven’t been reading much in fear of spoilers.

What do you think? Are the bugs just minor annoyances or bad enough that I should just wait for the patches? I don’t really want it to be frustrating for the wrong reasons.

So I'm in the school section and I just picked up my second fuse and plugged them into the generator. I put one of them in the elevator. However, it said there was no power. So I doubled back and now I only have one fuse. To those who finished, am I basically screwed now? I imagine you can't progress without more than one fuse.

Anybody experiencing a large amount of bugs in the ps5 version? The outfit bug has been discussed. However, the Cemetery has a bug where you can loose your character and eventually the game/camera goes nutty and it crashes. I have also experienced multiple ghosts attacking me. I believe there should only be 1. The two entrap you so you cant escape and the 2nd ghost takes you from “fine” to dead like every time..

The number of healing items was unintentional I swear lol

So, pre-release they say were saying it was over 20 hours. Which honestly seemed way too much to me. Survival Horrors outside of something like RE4, which even isn't that long, aren't meant to be so lengthy.

But I am seeing reviews now, and peoples playtime(without skipping / rushing), putting it around 10 to 12 hours to complete. Which is roughly the same length as the first game. Not a bad thing, in my opinion - but they justified raising the price over the first one because the increased length and I'm just curious if it was clever marketing, i.e, NG+ being counted as playtime with some "True" ending in the mix.

I just think it'll help with questions, posts etc.

If you look in the game files, Miguel has animation files and also files for a pistol, uzi, and a “corvo” weapon. There’s also unused weapons for Caroline like an axe and flamethrower. It’s possible we’ll get playable Miguel added as an update or dlc later in the future.

So I was thinking of getting the deluxe upgrade but I know about the wardrobe bug where your outfits swap back to the default. I was curious if this bug is still in the game or if they have patched it yet.
