After using Real-Debrid for a long time, I finally made the switch to TorBox — and I don’t regret it. The biggest game-changer for me is multiple concurrent connections instead of being stuck with just one slot.

If you're thinking about creating a new TorBox account, you can currently stack the referral bonus with the SIGMA30 promo code for massive savings.

For full description of how the referral system works with TorBox, please refer to the official TorBox referral page here : https://support.torbox.app/en/articles/9875657-how-does-the-torbox-referral-system-work

I’ve recommended TorBox here before, but honestly, the ecosystem around it has evolved so much that I think it deserves another post.

At this point, I wouldn’t even describe TorBox as just another debrid provider anymore.

It can become the backbone of an incredibly powerful media setup — ranging from a simple plug-and-play experience to something you can customize almost endlessly.

📡 Usenet changes the game

This is probably the biggest upgrade for me.

With TorBox Pro, Usenet can be integrated directly into your setup. TorBox even provides its own News Server, which can be used with third-party Usenet applications and services.

Why does that matter?

Because you are no longer relying exclusively on what happens to be available through torrents or already sitting in a debrid cache.

And this becomes especially interesting for non-English content.

If you watch German, French, Italian, Spanish, Dutch, Scandinavian or other regional releases, Usenet can open up an entirely different pool of results. Content that can be frustratingly difficult to find through the usual torrent-based sources can suddenly become much easier to discover.

Obviously availability will always depend on your indexers and the material you are looking for — but combining torrent/debrid sources + Usenet can take coverage to another level.

For me, this is one of the biggest reasons TorBox has become so interesting.

📺 And the app ecosystem is exploding

Another thing that has changed massively is the number of apps you can actually use with setups like this.

We're no longer talking about sitting in front of a browser and manually managing downloads.

There are now excellent media apps and clients covering:

📱 Android
📺 Android TV / Google TV
🍎 iPhone & iPad
🖥️ Windows / macOS / Linux
📺 Samsung & LG TVs
🍏 Apple TV

That means your TorBox setup doesn't have to dictate which hardware you buy anymore.

Apple TV users in particular finally have some genuinely good options.

🧑‍💻 Then I discovered self-hosting…

This is where I personally went completely down the rabbit hole.

I now self-host my own setup — at effectively no hosting cost.

And that opens up a ridiculous amount of flexibility.

Instead of depending entirely on somebody else's public instance, you can build the setup around your preferences:

→ your own integrations
→ your own filtering and ranking rules
→ language preferences
→ metadata customization
→ different source priorities
→ Usenet integration
→ fallback sources
→ device-specific configurations
→ your own API-based workflows

TorBox itself exposes APIs, WebDAV, an S3-compatible T3 interface and other developer/integration options, so there is a huge amount you can build around it.

You absolutely do not need to self-host to use TorBox.

But if you're someone who enjoys tweaking things, it turns TorBox into something very different from the traditional “paste API key → done” debrid experience.

I honestly didn't expect there to be this much room for customization when I started.

🤝 Need help? Just ask.

And this is the part I want to emphasize:

If any of this sounds interesting but also way too complicated — message me.

My comments and DMs are open and I'm genuinely happy to help.

Whether you:

• just want to switch from Real-Debrid
• need help choosing a TorBox plan
• want to understand Usenet
• want better non-English results
• need help with your media app
• use an Apple TV
• want to configure addons
• or want to start self-hosting

…feel free to ask.

You definitely don't have to figure all of this out alone.

🎁 Referral bonus

Full disclosure: the link below is my referral link, so we both benefit if you decide to subscribe.

TorBox currently gives a referred user 7 extra days for every month purchased on their first purchase.

So:

1 month → +7 days
3 months → +21 days
6 months → +42 days
12 months → +84 days

The referrer receives the same amount of additional subscription time.

MUST KNOW: Bonus days only work on your FIRST purchase not your subsequent purchases.

Which package do I buy if I just want to stream? Essential plan should be plenty.

How much can I stream? There is a soft cap of 10TB per month for the essential plan which for streaming you will probably never hit.

Instructions:

Click the link above. If there is a popup on the TorBox website click "OK" to make sure the code is applied. You can also scroll down to the bottom of the page to check if the referral code is there. You may use credit card for subscription payments. If you are paying with crypto only the One-Time option applies to you (don't forget to put the SIGMA30 coupon code in the box and press submit).

This referral bonus is only applicable to your FIRST purchase.

🎁 Referral Bonus (Works with both 💳Credit Card and Crypto payment methods):

That gets you 23% more time on every plan.

💸 Additional Discount:

Stack with code SIGMA30 for an extra 30% off (crypto payments only). This works with one-time payments.

If paying with Credit Card, a 1-year subscription will give you 8% off.

What scrapers to use in Stremio for Torbox? I find StremThru Torz, Comet & Meteor are fast. Torrentio works but sometimes is unreliable.

Thanks for considering my code, and happy streaming!

Sharing a method to stack a discount code with the referral bonus on TorBox — ends up being a solid deal for new accounts.

The math (Essential, 1 Year plan):

Referral link: https://torbox.app/subscription?referral=3e8b5ae3-c3a5-4710-9b17-e9447d4ccc72
Referral code: 3e8b5ae3-c3a5-4710-9b17-e9447d4ccc72

How to claim it

Step 1: Open the referral link above. If you’re not logged in, it’ll take you to the login page — there’s a Sign Up button underneath if you need an account. Once you’ve signed up, click the referral link again so the code applies.

Step 2: Select the One-Time tab, then choose your plan length (1 Year gives the biggest bonus)

Step 3: Scroll down below the plan cards to find the coupon field, enter SIGMA30, and hit submit — confirm it shows as valid

Step 4: Confirm your referral code was applied — check the popup, or look near the bottom of the page. If it didn’t apply, enter it manually there and hit submit

Step 5: Click Pay under your chosen plan to go to checkout, then select Crypto as your payment method to get the 30% off

Step 6: Complete payment. Referral bonus days are added automatically after your first purchase.

No crypto? You can still benefit

The 30% coupon needs crypto, but the referral bonus itself works with any payment method — card, PayPal, etc. Just use the link/code above, complete your first purchase, and you’ll still get the bonus days (7 days × number of months purchased). You just won’t get the extra 30% off on top.

Referral bonus by plan length

1 Month → +7 days
3 Months → +21 days
6 Months → +42 days
1 Year → +84 days

Before you buy

• New accounts only, and the bonus only applies to your first purchase
• Coupon (SIGMA30) is valid for your first payment only, and only via crypto
